Minki and Max are my fur babies and I love them to bits! We realised from quite early on after we adopted them that they are quite talented.
They are quite easily trained and are highly treat responsive. And we soon found out that they can SING!!!!
As soon as any orchestral or vocal music plays Max gives a sweet little howl. The thing is, it would sound sweet if he was “singing” on his own, but Minki adamantly joins in.
Unfortunately Minki’s “singing” voice is not quite as sweet. She was the runt of her litter and has a slightly under developed liver jaw which seems to effect her ability to howl consistently. She just ends up coughing and spluttering with more of a screech than a howl.
When Max gives a little murmur she comes running to join in and the cacophony begins with so much racket that it’s hard to get them to stop.
Enjoy the videos of them “singing” on my bed the other evening after one of the movies I was watching included an orchestral score.
Enjoy the music!! 🎶
Even though I work in the animal rescue industry I have never actually met one of those cute small dogs whose tongue is perpetually stuck out. I think it is super cute!
When I played the singing video my three dogs immediately went on high alert!
Ha ha ha! If I play the video Minki and Max immediately join in! They think they’re joining a choir 😂. I had to load the video with my phone on silent.
I know the tongue issue is quite common in chihuahuas. I e heard a couple of different reasons for it but none fitted with Minki. But we love her and she’s super sweet.
