Strict Action Should Be Taken Against Planned Obsolescence

Hello to all hive users 🤗❤️🙏
Hope you all are healthy and doing great in your life🙂

A few days ago, there is an employee in my office, he comes to me and tells me that this application is not running in my mobile phone, when I opened the application, it was showing that your current operating system is not supporting the new update of this application, so this application will not run in this mobile phone. I was surprised because he had got a mobile phone only for about four to five years and the cost of that mobile phone was about 25000 Indian rupees. I started thinking about this thing with a lot of deeply because this happened to me also a few years ago.

I bought a mobile phone in 2011 and in 2013 a software update came for that mobile which I did but after the software update I noticed that my mobile phone started hanging a lot and its battery backup also reduced a lot. I did not notice this thing at that time because in 2014 I bought another mobile phone so I did not need that first mobile phone.

When this incident happened with my friend, I started thinking about many other things. This was the thing which made us realize how any company does tricks to increase the sale of its product so that the public has to buy their product. This happens under a plan. You yourself think about this thing that on one hand where so much technology has been developed, then will a software update not be able to support the applications of the mobile phone, whereas if we talk about the contribution of the mobile phone, then many more heavy applications can run in it, so all this is a trick.

There was a time when such trickery was not used and the products sold to customers at that time had a long life and were made with the purpose that once a person bought it, it would be useful for him for many years. Even today I see very old scooters at many places and at many places I also get to see very old televisions and radio sets. These things work perfectly even till today, only now the technology has become outdated so no one uses them.

Nowadays in the automobile sector also we see that the spare parts of vehicles are very expensive and even for repairing a small part you have to replace the whole set related to it. Here the mechanic says that now single parts are not available, you will have to replace the whole set. Nowadays the body parts in the automobile industry are made of very light fiber material and if they get hit even a little, they break completely. Repairing of the part is not possible and the whole body has to be replaced. Earlier, iron parts used to be available, which could be repaired even in a severe collision and the cost of repairing was also quite less, but nowadays, first of all the vehicles have become so expensive and then on top of that their repair has become so expensive.

The government should take some steps in the interest of the public to stop such trickery of the companies because if it continues like this, then these companies will continue to do as they please and the customers will continue to incur unnecessary expenses. If a person has bought something worth some money, then it should be ensured that the thing comes with a limited warranty and there should be easy repair facility available in it. Many times it happens that we buy a product from a city but the company does not have repair facility in that city and in such a situation, the customers face a lot of problems because if there is any defect in the product, then its repair becomes very difficult. In this way, there are many other things in which the customers face problems and then in the end their product becomes waste.
There is a great need for change in these things.
