first of all as a newbie I want to introduce my myself to everyone. My name is rahul mehra. I'm from Uttrakhand india. i think basic introduction is enough for now, as time goes by, i will introduce myself to you guy's in detail, So let's begin.

सबसे पहले एक नौसिखिया के रूप में मैं सभी को अपना परिचय देना चाहता हूँ। मेरा नाम राहुल मेहरा है. मैं भारत के उत्तराखंड से हूं. मुझे लगता है कि अभी के लिए बुनियादी परिचय ही काफी है, जैसे-जैसे समय बीतेगा, मैं आप लोगों को अपना परिचय विस्तार से दूंगा, तो चलिए शुरू करते हैं।
Uttrakhand state is been divided in two division garhwal and kumaon. Garhwal region has 7 districts and Kumaon region has 6 districts. Kumaoni people mother tongue language is kumaoni and garhwali people mather tongue is garhwali. Although they do not different from one others. Both language are almost same but some minor different in words and accent are separating them.
उत्तराखंड राज्य को दो मंडलों गढ़वाल और कुमाऊं में विभाजित किया गया है। गढ़वाल क्षेत्र में 7 जिले हैं और कुमाऊं क्षेत्र में 6 जिले हैं। कुमाऊंनी लोगों की मातृभाषा कुमाऊंनी है और गढ़वाली लोगों की मातृभाषा गढ़वाली है। हालाँकि दोनों भाषाएँ एक दूसरे से भिन्न नहीं हैं। दोनों की भाषा लगभग एक जैसी है लेकिन शब्दों और उच्चारण में कुछ मामूली अंतर उन्हें अलग कर रहा है।
Uttrakhand is popularly referred as dev bhoomi (The land of gods). The reason behind that is hindu pilgrimage sites and mount kailash. When someone come to travel in uttrakhand. They can easily spot temple in every 10-15 km for surely. Uttrakhand 4 popularly known pilgrimage are called chota char dham. They are the place where every year millions of devotees come to worship god. All of the pilgrimage are open between april to November.amd close 6 months in every year due to heavy snowfall.

1 - Badrinath

Badrinath is located in chamoli district (Garhwal) Uttrakhand. Badrinath situated near Alaknanda river. Alakhnanda river rises from satopanth and bhagirath kharak glacier. The temple creater is not confirmed, but people belived sage adi Shankaracharya is the one who created this temple in 8th century.Badrinath temple dedicated to lord Vishnu.Due to heavy snowfall badrinath temple is open between the months of april and November.Best time to visit is May to October.
बद्रीनाथ उत्तराखंड के चमोली जिले (गढ़वाल) में स्थित है। बद्रीनाथ अलकनंदा नदी के पास स्थित है। अलखनंदा नदी सतोपंथ और भागीरथ खरक ग्लेशियर से निकलती है। मंदिर के निर्माता की पुष्टि नहीं हुई है, लेकिन लोगों का मानना है कि ऋषि आदि शंकराचार्य ने ही 8वीं शताब्दी में इस मंदिर का निर्माण किया था। बद्रीनाथ मंदिर भगवान विष्णु को समर्पित है। भारी बर्फबारी के कारण बद्रीनाथ मंदिर अप्रैल और नवंबर के महीनों के बीच खुला रहता है। दर्शन के लिए सबसे अच्छा समय यात्रा मई से अक्टूबर है।

Kedarnath is located in rudraprayag district (Garhwal). Kedarnath situated near chorabari glacier. Mandakini river riser from chorobari glacier. Kedarnath temple dedicated to lord shiva. At kedarnath pandavas pleased lord shiva by penance in kedarnath. Due to heavy snowfall kedarnath temple is open between the months of april and November.Best time to visit is april to june.
केदारनाथ रुद्रप्रयाग जिले (गढ़वाल) में स्थित है। केदारनाथ चोराबाड़ी ग्लेशियर के पास स्थित है। मंदाकिनी नदी चोरोबारी ग्लेशियर से निकलती है। केदारनाथ मंदिर भगवान शिव को समर्पित है। केदारनाथ में पांडवों ने तपस्या करके भगवान शिव को प्रसन्न किया था। भारी बर्फबारी के कारण केदारनाथ मंदिर अप्रैल और नवंबर के महीनों के बीच खुला रहता है। यात्रा का सबसे अच्छा समय अप्रैल से जून है।
3- Yamunotri
Yamunotri is located in Uttarkashi district (Garhwal). Yamunotri is source of yamuna river. Yamunotri dham is dedicated to goddess yamuna. Yamuna river is sister of the god of death and daughter of the sun god. Therefore worshipping yamuna to please sun god and death god .Due to heavy snowfall yamunotri temple is open between the months of april and November. Best time to visit is april to june and September to November.
यमुनोत्री उत्तरकाशी जिले (गढ़वाल) में स्थित है। यमुनोत्री, यमुना नदी का उद्गम स्थल है। यमुनोत्री धाम देवी यमुना को समर्पित है। यमुना नदी मृत्यु के देवता की बहन और सूर्य देवता की बेटी है। इसलिए सूर्य देव और मृत्यु देवता को प्रसन्न करने के लिए यमुना की पूजा की जाती है। भारी बर्फबारी के कारण यमुनोत्री मंदिर अप्रैल और नवंबर के महीनों के बीच खुला रहता है। घूमने का सबसे अच्छा समय अप्रैल से जून और सितंबर से नवंबर है।
4 - Gangotri

Gangotri temple is located in Uttarkashi district (garhwal). According to Hindu legends, sacred of all river's ganga descendent from heaven to earth at gangotri by lord shiva. The actual origin of ganga river is gaumukh at gangotri glacier.Due to heavy snowfall gangotri temple is open between the months of april and November. Best time to visit is may to june and September to November.
