Let's PLAN - PROJECT POSITIVITY

“Inuke!! Inuke!! What is this?.” I screamed holding my notepad.
I found my notepad torn and pages missing. Appeared as a crazy person has gone even more crazy and scribbled in some unreadable script.
“Dude, Come out. Or I swear…”
“What!! Why are you shouting?” inuke replied before I could finish my threat.
“What happened here?” I pointed at the notepad.
“Oh! That. I needed a blank sheet to plan.” inuke gave the most indifferent expression to go with that sentence. It made me facepalm.
“You now you can turn the page and start there. Right?” I informed inuke about the feature of the notepad. Also wondering whether to be angry or sad.
“Sorry, bro. I was trying to be dramatic and got carried away.”
“And the pages?” I asked inuke dreading the worst.
“It's got to be there somewhere” Inuke pointed to the general direction of the bin.
“You!!!” I ran to the bin only to find it empty.

I was looking for the missing pages. Hoping that some must have been left. But thanks to my overachiever wife. Nothing was left, the place was spotless. I got back to my chair and slumped into it. I picked up the notepad.

“Sorry bro, But I already asked you to keep a separate notepad for my creative ideas.” inuke toned down his shitty attitude a bit.
“Yes, you did.” I had given up. There is no hope. Inuke had completely hijacked my life at this point it seems.
“What was on it?” inuke asked.
“It had notes from my brainstorming on the development of the new module. It was tricky so I made a map carefully writing down the steps and flow. I wanted to run that idea by my team before going over.” I replied knowing that it was going to be painfully long hours to rethink and draw the steps from memory.
“Ah!! No problem you have done it before, you can do it again.” inuke said.

“Don't want to talk about it,” I expressed my disinterest in continuing the discussion.
I picked up the notepad. And tried reading the remarks. Distraction from pain is what I need now.
“How is it that you have such bad handwriting.?” I asked.
“Well, it is your hands. You are to be blamed.”
“Triassic World? Transmorphers? Atlantic Rim?.. What are these... Porn Parodies?” I asked.
“Nah! Even better these are some movies that I short-listed for you to watch and review.”
“What review they sound terrible.. I mean who in their right mind would…” I stopped mid-sentence. Goosebumps over neck and hands. It is as if my brain is telling me to run away from there.
“Bro What do you mean by Sharknado5.. FIVE!!! FIVEEE!!! You want me to watch Sharknado 5. How many are there in this world?” I was surprised at the count.
“Actually, there are six. But I thought of putting the sixth part for the next week.”
“Huh! Next Week. So all these are for?”
“Yes, this weekend. Awesome Right???” inuke gave the widest grin.
“Oh My God!!! I .. need a break from you.”
“No!! No!! We are doing this. We need to bring the Friday Review back. That's the plan. We gonna watch these terrible movies and find something positive about them to write and share with the world. Let's call it ‘PROJECT POSITIVITY’.”
A single tear swelled in my right eye. The left one stopped blinking after hearing the announcement.

Hey Folk

I hope you are all fine. Thanks for reading the blog and these short stories. As you know I am trying to bring consistency in my writing and hoping that I get to a place where some of you awesome people already are. Anyway. Before I call it a day would like to thank IndiaUnited and BeAwesome community for their love and support.

Watching bad movies sounds like a great way to completely waste time unless you like watching terrible movies XD

...why didn't you just flip the page of the notebook? o_O

So on the one hand, maybe you and inuke can see if any aspects of bullet journalling (sectioning and indexing probably be most useful) can help you share the same notebook, on the other hand it sounds like a great excuse to buy more cool notebooks XD

I'm terrible I love cute notebooks and sketchbooks x_x even though I do almost everything digitally and don't have that much of a use for them aaaaahhhhh

I think it is safe for me to share my secrets with you. I also love notepad.
Not sure what it really is but I always take the notepads whenever offered. My colleagues and peers prefer mobile, PDA and other things but I take the notepad to bring home and keep it on the shelf never to use.
The second thing I love is pens. Especially those 1mm ball pens that just glide over the paper like butter on a hot pan.

PS: It's okay to like notepads and sketchbooks in this digital age. Your digital devices have no feelings. I think. XD

🍻 Cheers.
