Krishna Janmashtami, the celebration of Lord Krishna's birth or we can say Incarnation, is celebrated by many all around the world. For Vaishnav families like ours, who hold a deep connection to the holy land of Vrindavan, this festival holds a special place in our hearts. This year, on September 7th at midnight, we celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with great zeal, organizing a unique and joyous birthday moment for the Lord Krishna.
One of the most enchanting aspects of Krishna Janmashtami is the midnight celebration. Lord Krishna is believed to have been born at midnight, and so, devotees gather to celebrate the exact moment of his birth. This year, as the clock struck midnight on September 7th, our family organized a grand and heartfelt birthday celebration for Lord Krishna.
Our celebrations included a beautifully decorated idol of Lord Krishna, adorned with fresh flowers and jewels. A magnificent cake symbolized Krishna's birth, and we offered incense and prayers to seek his blessings. Chanting his divine names and singing devotional songs in praise of him filled the atmosphere with devotion and love.
Today, we are going to celebrate Krishna's Chhatthi, the sixth day from his incarnation. In our family, our Laddu Gopal is considered a member of the family, so we celebrate Chhatthi for him as we would for a new born child. Soon, I'll share the celebration moment with you all.
Krishna Janmashtami is not just a festival; it is a deeply spiritual and cultural celebration that brings our family closer to Lord Krishna and their roots in Vrindavan. We believe that by observing Krishna Janmashtami with sincerity and devotion, we can connect with the divine energy of Lord Krishna, seek his blessings, and strengthen our spiritual journey.
Thanks for visiting🙏
I haven't heard about this. But now I know. Thanks for sharing. We all have differing believes and what we worship. In my place, I worship God, named Jehovah whom I believe made everything in the heaven and on earth. Thanks
Thank you for sharing your perspective. It's wonderful that we can all have our own beliefs and find meaning in different ways. The diversity of beliefs and faiths enriches our world, and it's important to respect and appreciate each other's paths to spirituality. Wishing you a peaceful and fulfilling journey in your worship of Jehovah.
