In today's time and age we notice one thing, which is, that lot of people follow some of the social media influencers. Some have become so famous that they can even leave behind some of the film superstars. With the social media influencers gaining popularity in the society it is important that they take up their role with utmost responsibility and do not spread out unrealistic messages.
Most of these social media influencers are fully sponsored and they do not spend anything from their pockets. Everything they use, everywhere they go is all sponsored and it does not cost them anything, but when a general person sees them they get lured bu these influencers lifestyle and want to copy them, which may really not fit into their budgets and then they may think of alternative ways to fulfill their desires. Hence the social media influencers should responsibly put up these facts also to the society of what is being sponsored for them and what are the things they are paying for.
Everything looks good on the screen, because it's all staged and paid for, whereas the reality is something very different. We may never know the real life of these influencers, what goes behind the camera always remains hidden. I was watching a Netflix series AlRawabi School for Girls, in which they have wonderfully shown how the social media influence can be destructive for young students. It is a good watch for high school students, to make them understand the reality of life.
With all these influences there is a kind of delusion which gets creates, specially for the younger generation who are still not in face with the real world. They get carried away, they start demanding things from their parents which are out of the parents reach, lack of understanding gets created between the 2 generations. Social media influencers are shown wearing fancy clothes, going to fancy places, living the best lives, but in reality all of this is not everyone's cup of tea to manage it financially.
When parents continuously keep refusing to meet these demands then they become monsters for their children and there are family disputes. We cannot stop the Social Media influencers, because that is the trend now and it's going to be that way unless something new comes up, which may be a step ahead to this also. But at the same time if they would do their jobs with responsibility and by not creating any kind of delusions and confusion for their followers then it will be a good way to move ahead. It would be good if they are more real on the screen also like in real life. They need to show to people that life is just not a bed of roses but there are thorns also. All these influences are increasing stress and depression for so many people who cannot match up to those lifestyle displayed on screens. A half a minute of their video can be a game changer for someone who is fickle minded. The younger generation has started seeing the world through the eyes of these influencers, hence in today's time it is the most responsible job, is what I feel.
What do you all think of this?

Most times I always find it hard to differentiate between social media influencer and social media manager
A manager is like an assistant to the influencer who will advise on ways and means to improve their visibility on the platform and how to gain popularity whereas the influencer is the content producer

Helping a child and teenager to believe in themselves by connecting to their innate intelligence is the wisest thing a parent can do (teach). You will always have those who run with the herd because they're afraid to stand in their power and you'll also have those beautiful souls who irrespective of age and circumstances will know (remember!) who they are: divine sparkles plugged into a 3D human experience.
You are right, not all the influencers sail in the same boat, there are some really good people who want to uplift the whole human experience with their wisdom and knowledge
Social media influencers have a crucial role in today's marketing landscape. Their authenticity, reach, targeted marketing capabilities, content creation skills, social proof value, and potential for amplification make them indispensable for brands looking to engage with their target audience effectively.
True, there are lot of dynamics in their role
One crazy thing is how people expect social media influencers to be perfect or live a perfect life which is not possible and those influencers too will always want to catch up with that which is not possible
You are right, in all that bargain they end up showing unrealistic things
#hive #posh
Being an influencer has its good aspect and also a bad one. You can never know the real life of influencers, but then again do you need to know their real lives? And I’m sure being an influencer can be draining too because nothing good comes easy.
Nice work though ❤️
You are right, we do not even want to know their real life, but the point is that the life they show on social media should be a responsible one and not just for publicity gain
That’s true, but people do things for money now.
I believe that traditional social media should no longer be used and information should be passed on to blockchain-based social media. Influencers should also all move to blockchain media platforms
That would be ideal, they will earn here as well and they will face the real competition here
Well said Ma'am and everything you pointed out in this post resonates with me.
I also watched this movie and I love how they projected social media influence and what goes on behind the scenes.
Oh my dear, you should be very careful with these fake show offs.
That's why we should choose who to follow and what to watch
Just like how my son follow the bad behavior from one of the youtube siblings vlogger.
Now I don't let him use any gadget anymore
Managing children with these tools is the biggest challenge, Children do not understand what is right and what is wrong, if they find it interesting they start following.
Good that you could get hold of his behavior
That's true. That's why I decided to take it away from him. He will be in school soon this year. He needs to focus on how to write.
I think social media influencers should understand the impact they have on their viewers and try to portray more of their real selves than selling a delusion of how life is for them. Eventually, viewers will have to come to terms with the reality of life and I don't prefer to see a disconnect between parents and their children caused by these influencers and thier fake lifestyles.
Parenting is becoming the most difficult task these days, with these social media influencers where majority of the times they carry our wrong messages, because the right messages anyways get blocked with less views :-)
Right! As a parent you're trying to instill the right values and principles. And these social media influencers are like the wind that keeps on blowing preventing you from planting the correct seed(s) that will later sprout into a tree.
