Wishing all my Indian friends a very Happy Diwali and in this festival of lights may millions of lamps illuminate your life forever with endless love, prosperity, good health and happiness.
It's been a busy socializing week with friends visiting each other and it feels good to celebrate away from home with friends who I call my family in this place. Due to constant eating out, last night I had some stomach issues and could not sleep very well. Today morning woke up like a zombie. Do not like such moods on good days but never mind, I am going to be fine as the day progresses and I get busy with work.
Tonight we friends are planning to meet up and go out for dinner to some Indian place and celebrate. Hopefully I will be better by then. I am enjoying the socializing but I am not enjoying the excess food and sweets part as it's getting too much for me. Though I have been restricting a lot but I would wish to completely avoid.
In this time I miss my home back in India, as the vibe is so different there. The whole city is lit up and there is celebrations everywhere with a lot of cheer. It feels a little dull here and hence socializing with friends is one way of getting the feel of the festival. The good thing is that in a weeks time I am planning to travel to Mumbai so I have something to look forward to. As it is, I have been missing home a lot since the past few days and I am so looking forward to it.
During this festival, back in India people burst fire crackers and celebrate, but here in Oman there is a ban on bursting crackers, so we need to celebrate it silently. Though I know that bursting crackers is not very good for the air. But I do enjoy lighting up some very small ones like sparkles. We also used to have office celebrations, where everyone would dress up traditionally and then we would have some or the other event for all employees. I would always wear a Saree on this occasion. Last year I was in India during Diwali and we had big time celebrations with my friends and family. This year it's a quiet one. I miss those times, but then I am happy here as well, things are different but they still bring good vibes and cheer.
I wish everyone beautiful bright days filled with dreams to fulfill. To all my Indian friends save a wonderful and safe Diwali celebration time.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
Happy Diwali,
Due to covid 19 pandemic. Couldn't celebrate Diwali properly. But this time I see that India based in Malaysia will be very good celebrating their festival last night at twelve o'clock in the sky and rejoicing.
Thank you for the wishes and wish you the same. Yes worldwide this time there has been lot of energy in the celebrations
nice sings! we've them in our Slavic culture as well.
But some people connect it only with fascism...it's a pity people don't know history as all;(
Yes, this particular sign has been interpreted in many ways. In Indian culture it is very auspicious and considered to be good luck to do it before starting any new work.
