Hello hive,
Today it's been around 20 days from the day I actually committed to hive that I'm going to believe that this platform is going to bring some good in my life.
That is no good for me, I wanted to grow as a person with intellectual thoughts and experiences. Eventually I quit social media in the month of March 2023 and from then onwards I never looked back.
I joined hive after getting rid of all my flaws and wanted to focus on my learning and growth. Worked 4 months to get ahold of myself and finally started dedicating my time on hive. Now I wake up and first thing I check is how is my post doing, after finishing work in the evening I start thinking of new topics to share views on, and eventually after getting on bed I write and post whatever I come up with.
In a very short duration hive became a very important part of my daily life and I like it.
I get to know how people feel of different things also I get to see different places where I have never been.
I'm not a frequent traveler, infact travel freaks me out, I love to stay in my zone and change makes me lose calm, so this platform really do bring joy in my busy schedule.
My 20 days full time observation about this platform is that this place overall embraces post that has more pictures and is colorful in nature also I do feel sometimes writing is just being used to describe pictures and not actually focused on writing.
I would really appreciate if someone could suggest, how is my observation and I'm really sorry if I unintentionally hurt anyone's feeling thru this post. I'm really grateful of this platform, it's just I want to know where in this huge platform we actually appreciate pure writing.
Thanks for reading! Have a great day ahead!

I started hive on my friend suggestion @himalayanwom to join this platform immediately after quitting social media for good. I was actively on social media since 2013, never skipped a day, thru thick and thin and one day I gave it a deep thought that what does these social media platform bring to my life except scrolling wasting some time over and keeping up with trend in terms of fashion.
I've received a very good response from @indiaunited and I believe that this community somehow focus on writing a bit more then other's.
At starting we might feel a little disappointed with the response that we get for our post. With time you will learn a lot on this platform. Our passion or interest also helps while writing posts (photography posts, art posts, gaming posts,s, etc.) I would suggest you join the IndiaUnited discord server. There you can interact with others and learn from each other. You can ask your question and someone will help you for sure.
With time (experience) we can improve our post. You started using hive in a bear market, that's the best thing you did. Because users who work in a bear market will get benefitted in the long term (bull market).
Best wishes for your hive journey ✌️ and Welcome to the IndiaUnited community.
Thank you so much for understanding my dilemma. I'll try and hold on to my spirit and will eventually wait for that time.
I have also been writing about travel on Hive for a long time and I have understood that you have to be very engaged to make it here. There is hardly any comment related to the content on my posts. Most people comment related to the photo.
To stay here for a long time, you have to be engaged, such as reading others' posts and commenting on them, you will get votes by posting well, which will increase your reputation, if your reputation increases, then the reach of your post will increase, hash tags should be according to the post. Need, posting your content in the right community.
And yes this platform is photobased, probably hardly 10% people would read the content of a post. I have seen that very few people participate in content based contests while everyone participates in photo based contests.
So work with patience, everything will happen slowly.
This is very informative and thanks to you to bring some insight about this. Will try and hold on to my patience and have faith in hive.
Also I'll try and put some efforts on that photography thing.

At the start, that's what I observed. But as I dig deeper into it and learn to understand every detail of this platform. Then you appreciate this community.
It welcomes all, and actually, how you write is the basis of your votes. And photos or pictures were just a flower in your garden. It is just a seasoning to your work. That's why the higher number of your words, the better, especially for the newbies on this platform.
Don't be discouraged, just focus on your hobbies, talents, skills, and also your metacognition. As long as it is original, meaning, no plagiarism involved, no copywriting, no spamming, give credits to the real owners if you quoted something not from your own vocabulary.
I am also a newbie.
Thank you for stopping by letting my spirit up for this community. I'm really grateful of this community and also i appreciate it.
Follow - Patience, Persistence, Niche, Engagement, Discord, Communities, Content, Hashtags.
Patience- there is no shortcut to stardom.
Persistence- one posta day make sense in begining.
Niche- know your stronghold *(travel, food, art, blogging etc) it gives you quick success.
Engagement- make meaningful comments on atleast 10 posts a day (nothing like nice post, thanks , awesome, make them engaging)
Discord- be part of differrnt communities over Discord. More you pull the audience there with chit-chat the more you get traffic on posts.
Communities- post the content on the communities it relates too. Don't make a mess of writing food Content on travel or vice versa.
Content- make use of English, and try to write atleast 250 words, the more is good but nothing assured.
Hastags- choose hashtags that supports the content.
More importantly, expectation reduces joy so better keep it aside and try to to be happy.
I'll definitely keep this points in writing and i really appreciate you efforts to give me some tips.
Will definitely lower the expectations from now on, well it also come from the efforts i put up here😃
