Just like the 'dinner' is so important to we humans, so also its important in birds as well, Infact I can say birds acquire more weight eating at night. But there are some many factors limiting birds from eating at night and the one i observed lately is the issue of lighting!...
It is very important to note while constructing your pen, there should be room for lighting, infact after proper ventilation, the next thing to consider is the lighting.
At there early age, the birds are attracted to lights, they usually go in the direction of light, and the simple logic is to place their food close to the source of light, here, they can feed more...
And while the birds are growing up, to keep them busy all through the night is to get lights in the pen all through the night.
Like i pointed out early, its important these birds eat time to time as to get the expected results
These pictures are taken 12 midnight and its quite surprising (something I don't usually get to see everytime) to note that the birds are very active and eating.
I think it still balls down to when they see they can feed. I'm working on getting a solar panel so it can be a constant thing, wouldn't have to rely soley on electricity supply.
