Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope everyone is doing alright, we've just celebrated Deepavali with our multi racial country and had a good time interacting with our fellow Indian friends. It's time again to do a progress check on my city and look at how the city is growing as I continue building it up and trying to maintain low social support fees.
What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.
My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:
I am continuing on my increase in the number of Wind Turbine, thanks to @ryosai who had introduced this strategy. At this moment, I have doubled the number of wind turbine that I have in my city and now have 6 wind turbines. Fellow dCity player @tarabh initiated a race with me on collecting wind turbines. Based on comment between the 2 of us, he has gathered a whopping 13 wind turbines as of late. For me, it is 6 down, 19 more to go! I definitely have a slowly accumulation as compared to him. I will try my best to continue accumulating but I am doing it in a way so that my city is always on a balanced mode as much as possible and not have too many inactive cards. Maybe more seasoned player can share me your strategy if balanced building works better or you have better methods.
In terms of unemployment rate at this moment, the city is now slightly off balanced with 1 person jobless. And the way to address this is to wait for more citizens to come and make it 2 person jobless. From there, I will purchase another wind turbine and rebalance back the unemployment rate. Let's continue to build the city up and gather more income. I am currently at 55 SIM income daily and grew from the 51 SIM that I was in the previous week. Not a big increase but I really think this slow and steady way of growing is good. I am really looking forward to how things will change when we obtain the wind farm.
Dynamics Change
For my city had moved from a young citizen heavy city till it become almost like an institution where I have many more students that I used to have. So in order for faster transition into the workforce, I will have to get more educators in the form of professors:
At this moment, I have a total of 14 students in the city, so definitely it will be good if I am able to have more of them accelerated into the workforce.
However, professors don't come cheap, like how it is in real life. Their pricing hovers around the 6000-7000 SIM range. So imagine, if more of my students become professors, that will be an amazing profit. I will continue to watch the pricing of professors and snap a few copies if I can when good price opportunity comes.
Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 234,846 SIM. Main increase this time round come partially from young citizen sales while a bigger sum actually came from layer 2 token sales which I think will main driver in SIM increase for future.
Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.
With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:
Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.99 liquid Hive per month. The numbers continue to increase and building towards the goal I had for using the liquid Hive to fund for Hive Power Up Day as we inch towards a 1 Hive per month from just this earning. At this moment, it look a little too small and insignificant to being able to get 10 Hive per month, however as I continue to grow, one day I know I will reach there.
Closing
With more young citizens becoming students, they have moved to the next phase and most likely I will need to gather more professors to accelerate the education of students to graduate and join the workforce. The city is growing and I am really glad with the progress that it has made thus far.
