of the fight against malaria for those most affected by the disease, such as pregnant women and children, and highlight the many challenges communities face in malaria-endemic settings, such as access to health services and the emerging threats posed by climate change. This year's theme for World Malaria Day is,"gender, health, equity and human rights".Through the slogan,"Accelerating the fight against malaria for a more equitable world," there are global concerns for unity across the global health community to ensure no parent, child or family member faces malaria alone;creating a future where every life is valued, counted, protected and balanced. The awareness creation,by relevant stakeholders and Governments at all levels on the global efforts,to control and ultimately eradicate malaria is a novel and noble one.

The World Health Organisation(WHO)has launched its new 2024-2030 strategy. As we enter a new strategic period,we remain more determined than ever to extend our impact and drive new progress in disease elimination. There is need to continue our work to cure patients, developing simplified therapies that boost compliance and replacing drugs threatened by antimalarial resistance.
Topically, the WHO Global Malaria Programme published a new operational strategy outlining its priorities and key activities up to 2030 to help change the trajectory of malaria trends, with a view to achieving the global malaria targets. The strategy outlines four strategic objectives where WHO will focus its efforts, including developing norms and standards, introducing new tools and innovation, promoting strategic information for impact and providing technical leadership of the global malaria response. Keenly, the WHO believes in eliminating malaria and unravelling the mysteries of parasitic transmission and metamorphosis.

Accordingly,Saima Wazed who is the Regional Director for World Health Organisation,South-East Asia, argues that the global health community must double down on efforts to overcome malaria challenges and ensure that all individuals are enlightened. Together,we can accelerate the campaign against malaria for a more equitable world. Yes,we can do right thing to overcome malaria challenges. Yes,we can eliminate malaria. Yes,we can unravel the mysteries of malaria transmission and metamorphosis. Yes,we can! Governments the world over, critical stakeholders, the Public across the globe agree that this is a task that can be realised.
