Nice work, and it's so good to see you throwing your hat in the ring with the Invitationals πŸ˜€

You know what I'm going to say..... I want to see more from this setting 😁

Also, this malarkey about blunted spears not hurting. I can absolutely confirm from personal experience that taking a thrust from a blunted spear next to the left eye really, really, really hurts.

Thank you! I thought it was high time that I pitched in. 😁

Well, I did a YOU. This story now exists within the lore of my other writing... the stuff that is NOT on Hive or anywhere yet.

Also, this malarkey about blunted spears not hurting. I can absolutely confirm from personal experience that taking a thrust from a blunted spear next to the left eye really, really, really hurts.

You are still alive though right? I never said it wouldn't hurt! Hahahahaha.

Yay for adding lore ! 😁 All you need to do now is join the dots so it fits in with the rest of the dynastic history of the kingdom....

Also, yes, I'm apparently still alive. I did carry a slight dent around for a couple of years after the spear incident, and it gave me a huge headache at the time ! It wasn't deliberate, just a jab that went astray. Headshots were supposedly banned by the society I was with at the time; we were Bescarles, so didn't get anything more protective than a large shield.

This is indeed the story of the ancestor of Duke Gregory Brintor, whose ancestors were Kings before that.

Or in this story... how they became Kings.
