In the realm of slumber, a figure arises,
A shadow, shrouded in mystery,
It stalks, it chases, it preys,
A relentless pursuit, a bitter enmity.
Deep within the shadows of the mind,
It lurks, a hunter of the soul,
With eyes as dark as the night,
It hunts its silent goal.
This predator of the psyche,
A hunter of the night,
Feasts on fear, devours the blind,
Feeding on the soul's plight.
Through the twisted paths of thought,
It prowls with stealth and grace,
A master of the mind,
Using the night as its tool.
But a warrior emerged, refused to be prey,
A hero of the night,
He fought back, with courage and sway,
He fought for what is right.
He refused to let the hunter win,
He refused to give in,
He stood tall, and let the light within shine
To banished the darkness within.
He faced the hunter with a fierce heart,
He faced it with a will,
He tore apart, the hunter's dark chart,
He broke the hunter's thrill.
With each dream, he grew stronger,
With each night, he stood taller,
He defeated the hunter, once and for all,
He broke its power.
Now the hunter is gone,
The dreams are free,
The warrior has won,
And he sleeps peacefully.
This poem is about a figure that haunts and chases the speaker in their dreams. The speaker describes the figure as a hunter of the night and a master of the mind. However the prey (warrior) uses courage and determination to banish the darkness and bring peace to himself. He never gave up or ran from his predator
This is my first time here, I love to play around with words, especially through poems and sometimes I go into dark stories. I hope for good adventures here and also to explore other aspects of writing.
