This sets such an ominous tone. I'm getting War of the Worlds vibes from the Dali-monster raid too. Spooky stuff, but also awesome stuff, re: trunk cannons :D

Thanks! Yeah, I think Wells was also inspired by Dali with the Martian machines. I think it's safe to say there's some WoW influence, too. I love the book and Spielberg's adaptation was quite neat.
