π I hope you enjoy it! π ~ basically what I'm doing is NaNoWriMo but in April instead of November! And using the daily freewrite prompt to throw in some extras into the story. So trying to write 50,000 words and finish a complete story within the month.

That's deadly, fairplay! Keep it up that'll be a great acheivement and by the end you'll have a Novella.

Cheers!! ππ» That's my plan!! I published my first book in 2019, another in 2020, but then I was lazy last year and didn't publish a thing, so forcing myself to this year. XD And the best way to kick myself in the butt and get this rolling was this Month of Madness! Once done, planning on spending a few months editing it and stuff, and voila.

That's so cool! Nothing wrong with being lazy, I'm glad to hear you were inspired to get back into it. I have the hopes of publishing a book soon.
I finished a Sci-fi novel about a year ago, I actually wrote it as 10 scripts for a first season as a TV show. Decided there's no way someone would buy this, so reformated the whole thing, which killed me, but I got it done. While editing it, I thought "This really needs a book to lead up to this." So, have left that there and had the intention of writing a new book leading up to it. But, was so burnt out, that I hadn't started it.
Since joining Hive though and being apart of the different writing communities I've started! It's been a lot of fun and it's good being able to dig up all my notes and do some more world building!
That's pretty spiffy!! And I completely understand being burnt out. π I think that was my issue last year.
Joining Hive has been immense for my writing and I've heard quite a few authors say the same thing. A lot of the things I've written, my motivation, inspiration, just would not have existed if not for being here. This is a fantastic place for any author to be! π
That's the thing, I've never publicly shown any of my writing to anyone before joining. They just kind of sat on my computer gathering dust. But, I feel a lot more confident in myself since posting and as well as that I've had people give me hints and tips too which has been great, I think being critized is a good thing as it helps us grow and learn. Especially if it is from someone who knows what they're talking about.
I always wanted to do blogging or something, but, didn't know where to go or how to start. So glad I found this platform and I've met a lot of really cool people through it. There are so many really talented people on here. You're right, it's the perfect place for authors to be!
