In this episode, I decided to bring back the narrative voice-overs. I’m using MS Clipchamp, which has a few options to improve the dialog so that it doesn’t sound too robotic. The results are alright, but I can’t wait for them to improve this voice function. Human speech is so nuanced and varied that it’s not easy to replicate. I suppose this is the reason why you pay voice actors to do the job. I’m just thankful the technology has gotten this far and from the looks of it, it will only continue to improve.
The following is the script for the dialogue as narrated by the voice overs.
Maria: I cannot get into the details but the vial contains a precious substance. It mustn't fall into the wrong hands, let alone Veronica's. You must do everything to prevent it.
Detective: Oh really? And how do I know that it's not you the one who's lying? The way I understand it, the substance is an ingredient for a vaccine.
Maria: Do you really think they would go to all this trouble for a vaccine? I suppose in a manner of speaking it is a medicine, but I assure you it is much more than that. The substance in the vial is powerful, powerful enough to sway the course of history.
Detective: What I want to know is: who are you people? Is this some elaborate con?
...Of all the urban joints in all the towns in all the world... you walk into mine...
Maria: ...and one more thing... I think you should know
It's about Veronica...
She's not of this world detective. Not even this dimension.
