As I Was Putting the Finishing Touches, the Computer Crashed

Greetings.

After almost two months on hiatus, I felt like posting something new. I spent more than a few hours redacting several paragraphs in which I was giving you an update on my situation and summarized the whys and wherefores of my recent radio silence. I even added a quick spontaneous haiku at the bottom of the page!

However, just as I was uploading an image to match the text, the computer crashed, wiping all my work, as I had not saved a draft. Frustrated at first, I let out a few curses, initially thinking: "to hell with it, I don't have another two hours tonight!" As the Spaniards say: "Manana esta ottro dias..."

Then I thought, as I still remembered the haiku, that I would post this shortened text and present the poem, a premonition of sorts, to laugh it off before getting ready to sleep. I think you will appreciate the irony...

Here is that auspicious haiku, as I bid thee farewell, until next time. I can only laugh at this cosmic joke, however irritating.

Cosmic Ebb and Flow
Is Pushing and Shoving Me
Beyond all Control

P.S. the image used is the very one that crashed the computer, as the original text was titled:
One Flew Once More Over the Cuckoo's Nest
which I might discuss some other time.

Sort:

Good to see your Haiku, it is a metaphoric one.
I had similar situation in the past, therefore I write directly in the publishing portal such as ecency, leofinance, to autosave the material.

All the best.

Metaphoric indeed! What seems very ironic to me is that I improvised the haiku mere moments preceding the crash, as if I unknowingly was daring the Universe to demonstrate how little control we truly have... Thank you for reading and commenting, best to you as well!

The good thing about a Haiku is it has mere 3 lines and 575 format, I adore it really, you can create one in an in a matter of time, it might not be the same but it may imply its relevance to lost one.

Thanks
