Sarah is a very beautiful lady who got married to David at the age of 24, and ever since then, she has been unable to conceive.
And for the past five years, she wandered about seeking solutions to her problem.
One time, she visited a herbal doctor who gave her a herbal mixture, assuring her that when she takes it she would be pregnant within twenty-four hours. And of course, Sarah did as she was instructed.
Her stomach had begun to swell and she was throwing up consistently. She smiled Joyfully with the hope that her wish has been answered. And for the rest of that week, she was filled with joy, happiness, and confidence.
She told her husband about the pregnancy but of course, left out the part where she drank a herbal mixture. David was so overjoyed that he bought her a car that very week.
The week after she took in, things change for Sarah.
Her stomach grew twice its size, the exact size of a soccer ball. She instantly developed a fever that made her temperature run up and her skin swollen with white vesicles. She cried out in pain, moving her body left to right as she was unable to get up due to her swollen stomach.
David rushed her to the hospital once he noticed all this. He wasn't sure what was happening but he did what he had to do to save the life of his wife and unborn child.
After the doctor's test, it was discovered that what Sarah drank was a toxic parasite, capable of causing bloat. And in worse situations... death.
The rest of the year was could for Sarah as David walked around the house, carrying on with his activities like she never existed.
And to make matters worse, her mother-in-law, came visiting when she heard the story. But it wasn't for peace.
She bullied Sarah around calling her names and mocking her condition.
On a certain occasion, they collided in the kitchen. And that was the day Sarah wept tears. As her mother-in-law didn't only abuse her with words but also physically. She dragged Sarah by the hair and pulled her around the four corners of the kitchen, pointing at everything in the kitchen and calling it her son's property. "My son produced this"..she said, "what have you produced?!".
It was obvious that things weren't working out great for Sarah. Until one day she remembered God.
She knelt and prayed to God saying, " Dear father, you see all and know...I know you see me. Grant me a child that will wipe my tears away, and turn my sorrows to Joy...".
Days passed, months passed, but still nothing, at this point her mother-in-law was leveling up her game as she brought in a new wife for David. But David was still unsure of what to do.
His mother wanted a grandchild, and he also wanted a child which Sarah has been unable to produce. What next? He asked himself.
A week after his mother brought her choice of a wife to him, David decided that it was time to break the news to Sarah. He climb the staircase that lead to Sarah's and his room screaming her name as he moved. But there was no answer.
He kept on calling out her name until he approached their room which he noticed was slightly open, which meant Sarah was inside but why wasn't she answering? He asked himself.
As he stretched his hand towards the doorknob, he could see a familiar figure lying on the floor behind the door.
He quickly burst into the room, and what he saw made his blood run cold. His heart began to race faster and louder, his limbs trembled uncontrollably. His breath became rapid and short. "What is this madness??!" He asked himself as a sharp pain pierced his heart from seeing Sarah lay lifeless on the floor.
An idea sparked in his head that triggered his body to move again. So, quickly, he went on one knee, picked Sarah up, and like a blue hedgehog he dashed his way to his car screaming for help.
Once in the car, he drove straight to the hospital.
Luckily, she was only unconscious, and the doctor diagnosed her as pregnant.
David was stunned, his face froze with a smile on it. And for a brief moment. He forgot how to control his facial muscles. " Doctor are you serious?" was all he could manage to say before he jumped up from his seat, lost in happiness as he danced and ran almost simultaneously to his wife's room.
When he arrived, he met are sleeping. And stayed with her until she awoke.
"Baby, you're pregnant!.." he said as his unconscious wife regain herself. And just like her husband, she was in disbelief, but the loud smile on his face pulled her out of her disbelief into a state of happiness. Tears of joy rolled down her cheeks, and finally after ten years, light began to shine once again in her life.
Wow!!!...God's time is always the best..at his own he would give an answer . Interesting story.
