I don't like labels

I don't like labels,
not on clothes that tighten,
they scratch my skin like thorns,
damned certainties that limit my ways.

In life, they are chains,
they make me uncomfortable, they keep me awake,
they pigeonhole my essence,
in a world of appearances, a pity.

I am not a vegetarian,
nor vegan, nor calm yogi,
I don't lock myself in a sentence,
I am the wind that knows no phases.

I am laughter, I am tears,
a sea of emotions, a song,
a shadow that plays in the sun,
a spark that shines, a lantern.

Don't look for me in labels
nor in narrow definitions,
I am the colour that escapes from the canvas,
the life that flows, the immense love.
