So much I miss about you

So much I miss about you, distant love,
an echo in the breeze, a constant whisper.
Though what I miss most, in this loneliness,
Is the shadow left by your sweet truth.

I miss reading your kisses, with serene calm,
tracing in the half-light a dance divine.
Before turning off the light of the night,
I lose myself in your lips, prisoner of a brooch.

I miss looking into your eyes, two beacons of enchantment,
that illuminate my dreams, that enliven my tears.
When I close my eyelids, the world is extinguished,
and in the vast silence, your image unfolds.

Every corner of the soul holds a fragment,
Of those moments full of breath.
And even if time goes by and takes us further away,
my heart will always carry your beat.
