I’m not as nervous around tarantulas as other things. I don’t think I would enjoy picking one up but it’s not something I would never do. They are very gentle and only get you with their hairs if you make them nervous.
I don’t mind spiders too much, particularly as I’ve gotten older. They keep the bugs around the house at bay and leave you alone overall so as long as they aren’t crawling on me, I leave them be or move them outside where it’s safer for them. My wife hates them and will kill them if she sees it lol
