Un plato que forma parte de la tradición venezolana en la mesa es "la hallaca" en navidades esta es la invitada especial del plato para esas cenas donde compartimos en familia. La deliciosa hallaca esta compuesta de un rico guiso a base de zanahoria, aceitunas, cebolla, alcaparras, pasitas o uvas pasas, garbazos, pollo,gallina, puerco o carne de res (juntas todas o solo una de estas carnes), además de cebollín, condimentos y otros.
