Some countries endured isolation for a worryingly long time and seeing as much of our development at a young age comes from interactions and observation of those around us, this would certainly have stunted the development of children. The younger they are the likely the worse it will have affected them. Hopefully it's not a long term issue, though. After all, children are quick learners.
