If you can find vocabulary words, list them and try to find their definition, how to use it in a sentence, its proper pronunciation and how are you going to give the simplest and understandable meaning of the word to your students. With the mastery of the lesson, it can help you to prepare and create ideas on how to make your lesson lively.
You should come up with an idea of how to begin and end your lesson. Aside from that, it can build confidence in the teacher that she or he is ready to rock on with the students. Lastly, we can consider the student's abilities. You can adjust yourself if you have primary students, high school, or adults.
Every time we start our lesson, we must show a friendly smile to the students because this can be a good impression that they will feel they are welcome and comfortable with you in the class. Whenever your student shares his or her favorite toy or things she loves to do, you have to like and love it too because this shows how you support her interest in something which can be her source of why she is motivated. For example, the topic is about healthy drinks and she will tell you that she loves lemonade. You can say that you love lemonade too and this creates happiness for your students because she can see how you both have similarities. I find this effective if I will conduct my class.
Being energetic is necessary because we don't like to provide a boring lesson to our students. If the boring lesson is implemented in the class, there is a possibility that your student will not come back to you. You must be alive as long as you can to encourage the students, that learning is fun.
Next is learn yourself how to control your emotions. We don't expect that all our students are in good condition and we should be considerate them too. If you feel tired teaching and your patience is tested don't stop there. It's quite challenging at first but in the long run, you will realize how great to teach and see the progress of your students. When conducting a class and all of a sudden the student will say something about you which is for you you are offended then learn how to react in a good way. Maintain your professionalism in dealing with situations like this. I've been through lots of disappointments but I don't have to fight back against my students. They just need to be corrected in a well-mannered. Let's treat every student special.
A creative teacher knows how to make rewards to the students and props to use to make the lesson more effective.
A. What is a Reward?
A reward can be in a form of virtual, realis’s, models or objects to be given to someone who deserves or did something great for a specific activity.
B. Why do we need to give rewards?
As a parent or teacher, it will be nice if we appreciate their success. It will create a strong relationship between the parent, teacher, and students. This is to let them feel that we are proud of what they have a reach and the progress they have made.
C. How do rewards affect student performance?
Rewards give a big impact on the students’ performances. This will encourage them to work harder and give a feeling of excitement whenever they enter the classroom. It boosts confidence in the child by acknowledging his/her achievements. Rewards will be their motivation to keep learning new things. This creates a big smile on their faces that will lead to a positive outcome.
As a teacher, being creative is a plus and I am so glad that I am skilled when it comes to Arts. My curiosity brought me new learning and discovery that I and the rest of the students benefitted from.
Make sure the students absorb the set objectives in the lesson. Talking fast while teaching is not effective, you have to talk at a mild speed. You cannot use difficult words teaching kids at 3-7 years old. You must be aware of the level of words that the students can understand. We are not in a race so no need to get hurry. Have good time management, use the allotted time to teach with a quality education. Teachers let's put in our minds that we are there to teach not forsake and the last one is to have a conducive environment with proper background, good lighting, and availability of the tools.
Why do we need to do these?
- There is a high chance of booking.
- Receive positive feedbacks and evaluation.
- To be more productive.
- Creates a good performance.
- Expand your knowledge.
- An accomplishment vice versa.
- They will favorite you, refer to other students, and booked your schedules.
- Leave a smile on their faces and get excited to see you again.
- It's not about your student but catching parent's hearts too.
