ENGLISH WORD GAMES FOR MY SON

in Home Edders4 days ago

We started English learning last year, and my son is rather good in it. He remembered all letters well and started reading rather fast as for me.

Then we had a pause because in our unschooling we switched to Math and Human body science.
I decided to train such a system when we go deep into one theme and subject and study only it. Then we go to another topic etc.

I hated school systems when we had to study 5-6 different subjects a day! And we had to make 5-6 different hometasks for the next day!
And it always was hard to switch your brain from Maths to Literature or Russian or English. So now when I have a chance to build my own way of studying my kid, I try to change all mistakes I had in my education.

Now we've finished Maths and Human Body and go to English again.
I tried to keep his knowledge and we tried to use English words in every day life but he didn't read and write English for some months. So I decided to come back to the foreign language using easy and nice word games where he can train reading and recollect writing of words.

I bought cool word cards with puzzle word games and with training of reading sounds.

We tried to combine all words in a proper order, he read them all well.
He has nice memory and he didn't forget it, that's great;)

Then we took different transcribtion sounds and tried to match the sound with the word.

it was more complicated for him but he did it well too.

And the most important that it was GAME for him not just boring English lesson, and such a way of studying is the best for sure.

Wow this is so educative

It's nice to focus our child with the subject matter, give them time to master it. In school you cannot grasp all the topics right away especially 6-8 subjects. I like how you facilitate your child at home.
