Me and my girls, live a very colourful life. I want them to get to experience life. To grow up, feeling confident in expressing themselves and taking care of themselves.
It's important to me, that they help out around the home and that they know how to look after themselves. I want them to take a sense of pride in their self care. Especially when it comes to what they are feeding themselves.
Our kids are great at making connections. When they grow up consuming living foods, then they really get to experience the affect that processed foods have on them. Then they get to decide what is best for them.
We like to start out way with a juice. Not all the time, in the winter we usually like to make porridge with lots of seeds and fruit. But as it has gotten warmer, it's juices we craved.
My youngest came to the market with me during the week. She made her own shopping list, which consisted of drawings of fruit and veg and some chocolate.
She drew all the above, carrots, beetroot, apple, pears, spinach and lemon. Knowing exactly what she wanted in her juice. And what a beautiful juice it was.
She just loves, to use the juicer and takes great pride in the fact that she is making her own juice. I certainly find it very satisfying, watching the juicer, separate the juice from the fibre. And the colours ,from each fruit/veg sitting side by side, until you mix them all together
We end up with quite a lot of fibre, which we usually use to make muffins. When we have an oven that is, but for now, we feed it to some horses that live near by. Who really enjoy it.
It's so important, what we expose our kids to. All of these things get imprinted into their minds. And, they will always do what is familiar to them. So why not make juicing, a part of their daily lives.
My middle daughter loves when we make juice with beetroot, because she gets to have red lips. She also enjoys the taste, but the red lips is definitely a bonus.
From the time our children are born, what we expose them, influences them hugely in the life that they will create for themselves. What we prioritise, is what they will go on to prioritise.
Teaching them, about the importance of what we consume, is so important. Teaching them, by doing is the best way in which to do so. Getting them directly involved in creating the food that they will consume, is a wonderful way in which to teach them abut nutrients.
Because the food itself, or in this case the juice, will speak for itself. Our bodies don't lie. Once they know what is good for them, they will always know!
Not every mother understands the essence of teaching their kids these things and their kids end up missing out on a lot of things.
As a male child, my mom didn't let the lessons pass me by. She taught me the essence of eating good food and the lessons are stuck in my head.
I do love to taste the juice, the colors are definitely tempting me to drink up even from the image
Your mother sounds like an amazing woman.
I agree we need to teach our children to look after themselves.
Thanks George xxxx
It's been a while I visited your blog. Good to know that you're back to meet your lovely girls 🥰🥰. Thank God for safe journey back home. Hope your girls are all doing well and I can see that from the post you're teaching them how to face life and experience it to the fullest. Children love when you teach them about how to prepare their meals themselves. I'm just trying to imagine how happy those girls will be while making the juice. Those blenders are cool and I love them. Just wish I can have a taste of the juice made by you and yours😊😊😊. These are moments your girls would hardly forget with you. Their friends will definitely know about how they made juice in their house when they get to school 😂😂. Children are fun to be with. Please give them the best motherly care you know you can give to them. Life is cool when you're with your loved ones. Enjoy your family please😍😍😍
I can tell you it tastes very good @miraclle. Thank you for your words and yes life is real good when you are with your loved ones xxxx
😊😊😊, you're welcome
This is quite impressive.
And this is the best thing I've ever Heard. Nothing is as good as leaving our legacies in our children.
They will really turn out to be the bettee version of us
Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much xxx
You're welcome
I love this!! I wish I had brought my son up this way instead of being sucked into mainstream life. Your girls are so lucky to have you as their mum 🥰 xxx
Thank you lovely xxxx
This is a good idea. Children will be more responsible in the house at the same time learning a lot. The idea of making different juices would be able to make them healthy.
Thanks @missleray xxxx
