My name is Suleiman Samuel Ojochgebe I love being called SAMMIE and probably “SLAYER” because it’s the name I love using for games or music.
I’m a Civil Engineering graduate of The Federal University of Technology Minna, I completed my NYSC last year (served in Abeokuta, Ogun state)
I’m an igala from the eastern part of Kogi State, Nigeria.
I am everything you can think 😂
Don’t mind me, I’m a pianist, a singer, a music producer, a graphics designer and an aspiring product designer(Ui/Ux)
HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT HIVE BLOCKCHAIN
Around may last year I got introduced to @ovey10
by my friend @vlead whom I met in NYSC Orientation camp in sokoto state.
He knew how passionate I was about music because we were part of the music team in the Nigerian Christian corper fellowship then in camp and He told me I can make legit money via HIVE
I was really mindblown knowing that I can extend my reach to fellow musicians and others.
I got so interested in HIVE after knowing how legit the platform is from @ovey10
LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT ME
From a young age, music has been a part of my life. It all began when I was 10 years old, the music director of my church then decided that they should be a children choir in my church and I was part of the team. Every Saturday, my mom would gently (and sometimes not so gently) remind me to attend rehearsals. Despite my stubbornness and and laziness, her persistence was unwavering, ensuring that I must be part of them and I shouldn’t miss any rehearsals.
It was during this time that I began learning to play the keyboard, surrounded by friends who shared the same passion. The church became a place for our promising talents, where we spent countless hours rehearsing and horning our skills and creating beautiful music together even though it wasn’t perfect.
However, as time went on, I found myself struggling to grow musically, and my love for music started to fade gradually because I was stuck in a loop (Just playing one thing).
In 2015, my musical journey took a great turn when I was introduced to a remarkable individual who would become ny tutor. His guidance and support reignited my passion for music, and with his help, I began to see progress like never before. Today, I can proudly say that I am a professional pianist, a testament to the dedication and hard work that her inspired in me.
I found myself yearning for new creative outlets. then @ovey10 , who has been a beacon of encouragement and who introduced me to the diverse communities within HIVE encouraged me to explore other communities beyond vibes and afri-tunes, leading me to the discovery of HIVE-Reachout, Inkwell, and the likes.
It was here that I began polishing my writing skills, consistently posting and sharing my thoughts with a supportive audience. The experience has been nothing short of amazing, allowing me to grow as both a musician and a writer.
MY HIVE GOALS FOR THE YEAR
Looking ahead, my goals for this year are ambitious yet achievable. In the aspect of music, I aim to continue refining my piano skills, exploring new genres, and perhaps even composing my own pieces. As for writing, I plan to expand my repertoire, delving into different styles and themes to further develop my voice as an author.
