MY FIRST AND THE MOST BREATHTAKING BIKE RIDE TO KODAIKANAL( Popular Hill Station)

in #hive3 years ago

Lying on bed I was constantly staring at the wall clock, it was 23:55 hour. It was calm & quiet everywhere. I can completely hear the running noise of clock needles. It wasn’t just an another night, it’s seems to be more lengthy and wanted it to over soon. With a alarm sound clock was showing 24:00 hour. Just 3 hours remaining . I was enthusiastically excited to go on my first bike ride trip to kodaikanal, one of the most popular hill station which is located in Dindigul district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Its name in the Tamil language means "The Gift of the Forest". . Finally it was sharp 3 a.m. and 00:00 hour for our trip to commence.

A group of 10 riders, in 5 bikes ( 3 Yamaha Fzs, 1 Yamaha R15 and 1 TVS Apache) started from Trichy. It was windy morning with cool breezes energizing us.Our bikes were roaring on the empty state highway. I was riding at around 100 Kmph. After 30minutes we filled fuel to the full tank and decided to go for the bike race. We have chosen a popular highway restaurant as a end point for our race, that was located 50 k.m away. And we flagged off, the bike race was extremely thrilling, the speedometer was displaying nearly 120 kmph, we are overtaking each and every vehicles we were encountering. Like me every rider is throttling to their maximum. My pillion rider my friend was holding me tightly and constantly encouraging me for more speed. I was enjoying every bit of it. The best part was, showing the middle finger at time of crossing each other. As per the race rule, the one who finishes last has to bear the expenditure of chai & sutta at race end destination. I finished of the race at no.2. We had a couple of cigarettes and teas at that roadside restaurant. We resumed our ride, It was around 4:30 a.m., Dindigul town was another 40 k.m. We were moving on Chennai Bangalore Highway with high speed. Around 5:00 a.m ,we reached to the valley.

We again took a chai sutta break on the roadside dhaba. We were on the last and the most adventurous ride of our onward journey. Our final destination Kodaikanal on higher altitude was another 40 k.m away from the valley is situated on the mountainous peak. After the tiny breaks we again begin.

We were riding up along mountain on a narrow and curvy road. The scenic natural view was becoming more beautiful and breathtaking as we are reaching to the higher altitude. It was complete mesmerizing, before that I had never rode on such a stunning and scenic road. All the pillion rider were capturing the view in their cameras. We were moving slow as tourist vehicle were passing large in numbers. I discover the local drivers and riders were more skilled than us who are overtaking and going at higher speed with ease.

After a wonderful and adventurous ride for next one and half hour we reached to the peak. Finally, we were at kodiakanal.Oh my god what a stupendous hill station. valleys, mountains, clouds, greenery, waterfalls, garden, flowers, trees, there
was everything I was think of.
