Being one of the costliest and demanding vegetable in Indian market, sap green in colour with white stripes all over. It’s called pointed gourd. In local language or regional language it's called as “Parwal” or “pottal “ . pointed gourd is a good source of vitamins. From this vegetables we get vitamin-A, vitamin-B1, vitamin-B2 and vitamin-c. It stays dominant in winter and comes in summer and so that price is always high.
There are many Indian recipes with parwal and there are very tasty like:- dahi parwal,Aloo parwal,fry parwal,sabzi parwal...etc.
Last vaccation in my village, I got the opportunity to see the cultivation of this highly priced vegetable.
Big landscape having hundreds of this plant were cultivated.
Some with flowers, some with buds, some with a small fruit of it .
As I saw a lot of caring is need.Growing is not easy for this vegetable.
There are so many things are need and to be prepair for this vegetable cultivation ,some of are-

The balance of male and female parwal is very important for good production of parwal. Significantly, the fruit is obtained from the female parwal. In such a situation, keep in mind that along with 10 female plants, one male plant must be planted. Due to this, the process of pollination and fertilization is well done.
For this cultivation Farmers are giving their hard work under the sun. watering the plants, removing parasites, giving inseutisides.
After that They get high prices in the market.
