Dammit, sparked another one..
Must've been about '94. Went to see Sabbath with Dio at the LA Forum (where the Lakers used to play before Staples), Megadeth opened. That night, I didn't own one Megadeth CD, member those things? They defined stealing the show. Very next day, went to Warehouse Music (anyone tuned in is like 'where?!') and bought every single one of their CD's, like 7. Dave Mustaine fucking killed it dude. Way more than that actually, but fucking killed it is how it came out.
Anyhoo..
I saw them live at Clash of the Titans, I think that was the first time and they were awesome although it had been listening to them they certainly did not disappoint. That was an awesome tour. Introduced me properly to slayer and suicidal tendencies!!
But
So much easier when I'm not the only one. I became a huge Megadeth fan that night.

I was in the same queue as Dave Lombardo one night. Crazy story. At a Target department store of all places in Apple Valley, California (3 hrs east of LA). Must've been '09-'10. My buddy built pools, I installed the energy.
Beer run—dude in front of us looked like Dave Lombardo, I even told Jay, I think that's Dave Lombardo. The clerk ID'd him, hands his ID and clerk goes: "the Dave Lombardo?" ..could tell he wasn't real uncomfortable so we didn't say anything.
