Well, you got to wonder about people that think bullying already compliant others into compliance is viable as a sustainable governance technique.
When their only tool is a hammer, we become the nails.
I appreciate the nails that stick out, unlike the traditional saying "a nail that sticks out must be hammered", more so a nail that doesn't look like the others is more interesting.
