Hi newbie here! I'm thrilled to start my new journey here. I'm Khesia Anne Mendoza. From Aidtech 2 Tina- an City of Naga Cebu.Taking up the course of Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Content Education in Cebu Technological University Naga extension campus. I am 21 years old. I have 2 older brothers and I am the youngest which means I'm the only girl in the house.
My parents work at a farm. They are farmers. There are different factors to consider farming which involves taking care of animals. We have pigs, cows, goats and chickens. When we’re young we are already trained by our parents' chores that includes taking care of animals and giving them food to eat and cleaning their houses.
But time gets rough people start to be jealous of us because my father stopped working at that time and focuses on taking care of animals and sold them. People start to question why we afford our basic needs even though my father doesn't have a job. They start to drag us down. They make our life miserable. They make us leave our own house that we lived in for almost 3 decades.
But new opportunities came. We found a place to live. My mother and father rented a lot which is half hectare and we started to plant organically grown plants that also support our living. My mom sells the plants when they are ready to harvest. That helps us to earn money to provide for us for our education. In the long run we have a downfall.
We experience a lot of difficulties in our lives, but all of that makes us become stronger.
Because of my parents' hard work and dedication we are now already one of the certified organic farms.But it wasn't that easy to get, sleepless nights making our reports in our farm that also include cleaning everything in our farm. From the farm house to the field.Then we have the pre inspection in our farm that includes our farm and records. Time goes by and after all the challenges we get what we want, to be certified organic farm which is the “MENDOZA’s FARM”.
My brother would always object to how I dress up. That's why I became “boyish” which means I am a girl that wears boys clothes. Also growing up I used to think that I am the favorite granddaughter of my late grandfather. He always spoils me with love, care and attention. The saddest part would be seeing my grandpa pass away. I couldn't believe that I won't see him again since I was just 9 years old at that time.
He promised me a lot of things, especially that he will teach me karate for me to defend myself from harm but also for my brothers who's being bullied. Being the only girl in the house means a lot of pressure since all the attention is on me. It was hard. I was also a sick kid and that's the reason why I'm so thin in my elementary days. My mom would always be worried if I got a cough. That's why they want me to be taken care of.
In my highschool adventure I experienced a lot like being at the canteen when it's not even time yet. Cutting classes just to watch Korean drama with my friends and our favorite drama to watch is “Hwayugi the Korean Odyssey”. I also experienced having a role play with my suitor.
We played Romeo and Juliet. I got so excited that time because he's kinda shy in person. But privately he's clingy. I also have lots of friends which makes my life happier. We sleep together, help each other's homework and projects that make you more motivated. But now we grow differently but still communicating with each other.
There's a lot of things to mention as myhobbies. Firstly, I liked to sing when I was a child. We often sing karaoke in our house even though I'm not good at timing. I've been a choir member in our church for almost 4 years already. Serving God is always the best choice. It makes your heart grow fonder. Music makes me calm every time.
I like adventure or nature trips. I also like to watch movies with different genres like comedy, drama, horror etc. I also love cooking and eating most of the time. I also love farming which is because my parents are farmers. I help them every time I have free time or I'm not busy doing my projects and homework. I like reading and making poetry because they present your feelings or might be opposite.
The reason why I joined this community is for me to meet different people, find people with the same interest and to have more friends around and across the country. Also to help me grow to share my thoughts and ideas with.Help people to increase their self esteem and feel good about themselves. To inspire a lot of people that have the same shoes as mine.
What is my contribution to this community?
I think my contribution to this community is to bring joy, be friendly, gain information, be respectful to one and other, understand one's perspective, thoughts and ideas without judgement, give awareness and also understand social comparison. And also to influence people with positive traits.These are the few things that I think I can contribute to this platform or community.
I would like to have this moment to thank my friend who introduced me to this community. The positive threats that she mentioned makes me interested in joining.I hope this community will help me grow,foster positivity, and supports one another.
