Hey guys,
I was just reading an article that said that May 20th, a bunch of Steem is going to be taken from certain accounts.
I was curious as to any insight anyone has into this, and
A.) What to do to prevent it
B.) If this will affect the amount I have in my Hive account since they seem to be interconnected
I am not sure how this all went down, and would hate to have all my savings just disappear! I have kept nearly everything I have earned!
Maybe I am overreacting, but I would really appreciate any input!

There's a list of accounts that are affected by this. If you are not a big stake holder then you have nothing to worry about right now but I would suggest dumping this shitcoin asap.

We can't prevent it because stake is centralised too much stake sitting with one person/entity so they can do as they please, unless more users hold stake to counter it its pointless, which i hope HIVE will have eventually
HIVE is a separate chain altogether so no need to worry about what goes on here

Your hive savings are safe and as regards to your steem account they should be safe as the new steem witnesses are going after mainly former witnesses which is shocking, I have powered down my steem and sold that shit coin

I am sure that Hive is not impacted and seems, based on what I've read so far, to affect larger accounts that supported Witnesses not aligned with Justin Sun.
Frankly, since the split, I just haven't had the same interest in the Steem/Hive blockchains. Not sure why, but it is what it is.
