Wax is a totally separate blockchain.

The guy who made the original platform that hive came from also built the tech for Wax. So a lot of people on Hive, have wax accounts too because we know his tech works well.

Some games are on both blockchains though. You can play splinterlands lands on wax. And cryptoshots uses hive and wax too.

It’s just a lot of people who like the hive blockchain also like wax as well, but they are separate blockchains….
