Hello, Hive ❤️

Today, I’m reaching out not just as a fellow Hivian (@minigunner) but as a proud parent whose son, @dovycola, is part of an amazing journey in STEM education. My son and his schoolmates are competing in the FIRST LEGO League (FLL)—an international robotics and innovation competition that inspires students to dream big and embrace the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Their team is bursting with talent, creativity, and ambition, and they are ready to take their skills to the next level. But they need your support to get there.

What is FIRST LEGO League?

For those who may not be familiar, FIRST LEGO League is one of the world’s most celebrated STEM competitions, designed to introduce kids to the joys of engineering, robotics, and collaborative problem-solving. Every year, thousands of teams from all over the globe participate, showcasing their ability to:

  • Design and build autonomous robots to complete specific tasks on a themed gameboard.
  • Develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges tied to an annual theme.
  • Demonstrate core values like inclusion, teamwork, and discovery, which are at the heart of FLL.

This year’s challenge is themed “Masterpiece” and focuses on exploring and innovating around the world of art, culture, and creativity. Teams are asked to combine their technical skills with imaginative thinking to design robots and create solutions that transform the way we experience art and creativity.

The Team’s Ambitions

@dovycola’s team has big dreams! They are preparing for their regional #competition, with their sights set on qualifying for the National Championship. From there, the ultimate goal is to make it to the World Finals, where they can showcase their skills on a global stage alongside the brightest young minds from across the planet.

These kids are working hard—spending countless hours designing and programming their robot, brainstorming innovative ideas, and building team spirit. But like any great endeavor, they need resources to succeed.

Why They Need Your Help

To make their dream a reality, the team is looking to raise 200 HBD to fund custom team T-shirts. These shirts aren’t just about looking good; they serve a larger purpose:

  • Team Identity and Unity: Wearing matching T-shirts boosts morale and helps the team present themselves as a cohesive, professional unit.

  • Sponsor Recognition: The T-shirts will prominently feature the logos of their sponsors, including Hive and any dApps, games, or projects that step up to support them. This is a fantastic opportunity to promote Hive and its ecosystem to a wider audience, as competitions draw attention from parents, educators, and tech enthusiasts.

  • Inspiring Others: By showcasing Hive on their gear, the team can introduce the concept of #blockchain and decentralized technology to a completely new audience. Imagine Hive logos being seen by hundreds of people at regional, national, and even international events!

What Your Support Will Mean

Sponsoring this team is about more than just T-shirts. It’s about helping a group of young, passionate students gain life-changing experiences. Through the FIRST LEGO League, these kids are not just learning technical skills—they’re developing critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, and the confidence to tackle real-world problems.

Your #support could help ignite a lifelong passion for STEM and innovation, creating future leaders, engineers, and problem-solvers. Plus, if they go all the way to the World Finals, your contribution will help Hive be represented on a global stage, introducing it to new audiences and spreading the message of Web3 innovation.

How You Can Help

We are reaching out to the Hive community to raise 200 HBD. Any amount—big or small—will go a long way. Here’s how you can contribute:

  1. Send donations in Hive (HIVE) or Hive Backed Dollars (HBD) to one of these accounts: @coldbeetrootsoup or @cbrsphilanthropy .
  2. Spread the word: Share this article with others in the Hive ecosystem or beyond. The more people who know about this, the closer we’ll get to our goal!
  3. Get involved as a sponsor: If you are part of a dApp, game, or project on Hive, this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your brand. Sponsor logos will be featured prominently on the team’s T-shirts, as well as on their project displays at competitions and in any promotional materials.

What’s In It for Sponsors?

By sponsoring the team, you’ll gain exposure in a unique way. FLL competitions attract educators, parents, and industry professionals—all of whom are potential adopters of blockchain technology. Your logo will be seen by a broad audience and associated with a positive cause: supporting education and innovation.

Additionally, as the team progresses through regional, national, and potentially world competitions, the visibility of your brand will grow. It’s a win-win!

Together, We Can Make It Happen

Supporting these kids isn’t just about helping them win competitions—it’s about investing in their future and showing them that their community believes in their potential.

With your help, @dovycola’s team can proudly represent Hive, dApps, and blockchain innovation at every stage of their journey. Let’s show the world what the Hive community stands for: collaboration, creativity, and support for the next generation of innovators.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a difference. Together, we can help these young creators reach their full potential and take Hive to new heights!

All the rewards from this post will go directly toward sponsoring the team.

I appologize for tagging you all ❤️

Sort:

We do have some extra funds on @poshtoken since one of our other onboarding initiatives we were planning doesn't seem to be happening. It wouldn't make much sense to promote the POSH token/logo however and since most of the rewards are generated from posts or delegations we'd much rather just recommend the hive logo or another "general" dapp to be promoted that supports the whole ecosystem/hive.

That would be amazing 🤩. Any bit of help is welcome 🙂
