RE: Help with Hive getting added to Wikipedia

in #hive2 years ago

I'll try to find some of the people who have initially worked on getting one over the years and direct them towards this. Up until this point, the big thing that has kept all of our attempts being declined is apparently having someone who has the necessary "level" of wiki cred being the one to put things forth, as well as referenced articles. We have a lot of those, but thus far, apparently the big stumbling block is having an already accepted wiki editor help push any draft attempts along.

Nice! I changed the "cryptocurrency" infobox to a "distributed computing project". Might help a bit. Received a message about potential sanctions and strict guidelines.

I'll be updating this page every now and then (just added the format/code for the infobox to show what we potentially can add). I'm pretty eager to add our list of developers, do you happen to know where I can find/or do you have a list/know (all) the core-devs that work on Hive?

Thanks a lot already Crim!

@gtg has been trying to find people who can get new writes and edits accepted in this space since... Maybe 2020? Wiki is very very fussy about anything crypto related, as you say. Perhaps this category and a focus on the blockchain itself will be enough to sneak by

The hive.io site that others have linked is one way to have a few people highlighted. You can also use the gitlab repo as a documented list for a source link
