Back in March 2021, I was looking for a blockchain based game because the thought of getting paid to play something was very promising. I then came across Splinterlands and really liked it. I thought the ownership of the cards was a great idea, but the DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) that was paid after a winning battle seemed laughable. I had spent $500 (CAD) and had cards worth about $500. Fast forward a few months and I had a collection worth over $2000, then over $5000...$7000. I couldn't believe it. I had never thought that a game would be the best investment I had ever made. Prices have come down considerably,but SPS (Splintershards) airdrops have been the icing on the cake along with the onsite staking with and incredibly high APY%. While I have staked a large portion of my SPS airdrops, I have invested in other Hive projects/games/tokens. Rising Star & dCity have helped me further along my crypto earnings as well as have a bit of fun.
Another aspect of Hive that I am learning about every day is the social media and blogs, and I like what I see so far. I can see so much promise for Hive in the future. I hope everyone is getting something great out of this amazing community!
