I think the problem is people, to many endorsement about getting rich quick, making easy money here... and of course in term of making money, there are always be someplace which are greener.
I have been downvoted for reasons that even they do not wish to talk about. However I believe those guys are good people, and because HIVE is the place I believe a real decentralization can exist (right now, don't know in future). agreement and disagreement is something that we can not avoid during any kind of interaction between people. If I do not have proper understanding about this, I might go and leave too... and sometime ago I got amazed that even some older accounts who had been on HIVE longer, still did not understand this too.
And recently I joined in with some older users, we are small accounts, but we want to show people (especially from same region) that we can have fun too here by making post with our own language... We try our best to shift people mind from getting as many HIVE as soon as possible, to be what a Hiver or Hivian should be... just exist here, do some talk, post if you have time and will, poke each others, support each others same as what people did on Facebook... by the time goes, those monetization will still follow too. I do not know whether this will work or not, but at least I try something no matter how small it is.
