Despite being a Singapore Citizen, I actually grew up in Thailand. I'm working there as an IT & Systems Engineer (fancy title for a boring job) until I go to university in July/August. I can recommend some great restaurants if you do come to Thailand!
I was in BKK back in 2017 for a Bitcoin Conference and the food was amazing so I will definitely take you up on that should I find myself over there!
