I have delegated 40k SP to @namiks on Steem for awhile and a few others at times, and I recreated that on Hive and also just gave a 10k HP delegation to @dlstudios. But I can do a lot more and I plan to for the first year of Hive's life.
What am I looking for?
People who want to help create the seed for what Hive will be, people who want to anchor Hive in great content and culture that gets rewarded with curation and upvotes, people who will be very active and want to make Hive achieve more than what Steem was able to, and people who want to empower others.
The community and the witnesses who took action to protect us all have demonstrated how powerful working together is. Now is the next phase of that.

Now that Curie is running sustainably again for a few months with some significant delegations, feel free to remove the delegation to me and re-delegate it to someone else who you feel is a promising new curator. They'll be able to make better use of it. I'll continue to curate Movies, TV, anime and gaming content for Curie, of course.
I create original film content, curate often and created the Filmmakers community as well as a few others. Would like to be able to grow that community with the attraction of larger votes from my account. I also created the communities, Horror, Science Fiction and Lovecraft.
@eeks, @distantsignal is definitely a good pick that I can vouch for. I think his interest in bringing in filmmakers as well as film fanatics is a huge strength for the network.
Not only that, but he's a strong advocate of decentralisation, often highlighting the recent issues of traditional content distribution.
He's definitely in an area that would benefit from a bit of support, and has proven to have the right mindset for the quality content we'd like to see.

I'll try to keep it short. Somewhat held off from this for a day given I knew it probably wouldn't be, haha.
Well, when it comes to curation there's a few ways to find and decide what deserves the higher reward. For me, the primary decision is whether or not the content itself seems like something you'd typically find on a blog or something you'd potentially find on a professional publication. Reviews and opinion pieces are the best examples of this I can provide.
Obviously you don't have to search for huge paragraphs of text with an amazing vocabulary within. But posts that have quite a bit of effort clearly placed into them are quite easy to find given they stand out so much. So, if I see a review of a film or game, and that review contains screenshots that break up the review text, it looks nice but also shows signs of effort to share the subject they're reviewing. I typically prioritise such content, but on slower days I'll support both long and short content. If there's a lack of both in the typical tags you curate, branch out into other tags that aren't so relevant and curate some other great content, that way people still get rewarded and your HP is getting used nicely.

It's as if you're reading from a publication, so it's clearly quality content worthy of a 100% upvote. Though, that isn't to say you shouldn't curate good content that doesn't have a ton of images and doesn't read like a publication's review. Look for good opinions, use of words, and effort into getting those perspectives across. Personal viewpoints are also great, since it's nice to have someone say, "I loved watching The Lighthouse, each moment within its claustrophobic aspect ratio had my attention fixated on every part of the screen." as it promotes conversation. You're getting a real, genuine opinion that could encourage comments from the community. These types of posts are great for encouraging engagement outside of just curation, it keeps people meeting each other and discovering. This is where I highly advise keeping an eye on comment sections, and curating comments that engage with the author.
In addition to that, I also search through a wide range of different tags in search for special content. Communities are great, but not everyone cares enough to post in them constantly. Think of what tags people might use. All I can really say there is search for all kinds of tags that could be related to what you're looking for. I look in #movies and #film a lot, but people also use ones like #review, #art, or #tv. So keep in mind that people won't stick to certain tags you do. Again, if the tags you typically post in and curate are quite slow for a bit, branch into other categories and look for great content.
What I like to do is find a small group of relatively small posters to prioritise and support by following, that way I always see their great content and can reward it, but often search for new ones. A good way to discover new ones is of course by searching tags and communities, but encouraging discussion with the community by simply making posts asking people to recommend peers they believe do great work here. I've found many, many great creators from running little competitions or simply just asking people to recommend others. Keep in mind that it also encourages people to talk and share content! You aren't the only one that'll be seeing those recommendations!
Oh, and remember to reblog really good posts, especially when they're from users with little rewards, followers, and HP. Supporting great but small content creators is vital in getting not just tags and communities thriving, but the network itself. Not only will I see those reblogs, but your followers with potentially similar interests will!

Sure, the goal is to get people who will actively curate and reward a diverse set of quality contributors in these categories and that will create a virtuous cycle of future content creation and a stronger, higher quality community, specifically in those categories, but also in Hive in general. So the HP delegation helps enhance curation efforts and give bigger rewards to people than a curator could previously manage. But anything that enhances the community is a Win, so helping bringing in new members, writing great posts and creating great content is also great too.
Nice to see that you're still active(ly supporting people ) and planning to do so on HIVE from now on. I don't know of anyone who's actively curating that hasn't been named yet but if I do, I will let you know for sure.

I make and publish original content and stay active on the platform. Much of my content is about film and television series. It's the topic that I'm passionate about. Also my opinion posts are about the audio-visual theme. I also write stories in my blog. You can check it out and I hope you like it. We are starting to get experience curating content, however we have a lot of experience making content related to urban culture, on the other hand we want to find out people interested in this field and of course use our main account @dfestivalia curate initiatives that cover things like street art, graffiti, music, dance, performance, cultural events etc.

@eeks First and foremost I would like to appreciate this great Initiative and also great effort to see good content coming back to this bright future Community ( Hive ) I am a farmer , yes I read your post today few minutes ago and I saw that we are really missing out on so many aspect. We also offer good content as farmers but we are really looking up for more Curators that will push up our efforts more higher and also institute more Original content creators as well. I saw so many post here on Hive written by farmers and it was all great article but nothing to write home about when it comes to Curation. People have this idea and mindset just to focus more on cryptocurrency, travelling, food, videos. These are great contents too but farmers who actually go beyond a normal daily work , take pictures and most times do more of farming videos too need to be curated more and in doing this I'm very sure so many people will come up and join this Agricultural Community on Hive in no time. People saw that they are not been curated so they left for cryptocurrency related acticles. I would like you to look into this as well. I also upvoted Agricultural articles and content here on Hive but due to the fact that I have no larger capacity of HivePower I can not do anything and put smiles on others faces. Which I wish to do more. I created an Agricultural group ( Community) here on Hive which is called Agricultural Mindset with this code on Hive ( hive-150280 ) I have more than 60 members which some do post on it but no Curation at all. I am the founder of @alebrijes community. Alebrijes is a project to onboard users to hive, orientate them and delegate free hivepower, and also we have a curation project of original content mainly in spanish. Our curators are constantly looking for original content related to art, science, literature, and culture.
How our community works? We received small delegations from members of our community which allow us to create new accounts using resource credits (actually we are developing our own website to create tickets and further create accounts https://alebrijes.herokuapp.com/invitar). I'm @ritch, a researcher in materials science and I am curator for curangel project, but I have been curator for other communities like Tipu and my own former community named SteemitasClub.
We are a growing slowly but strong. We give 50% of curation rewards to our delegators, they don't ask for the rewards but I am sure that together we can build great projects for the community. We use the another 50% of rewards from curation and the rewards from publications to give free delegations to new users from 30 to 100 HP to motivate them on creating excellent content for the blockchain.
You are doing a great inniciative here, and we hope to receive your positive feedback on this comment.

So far, we in Indonesia have not used posts in Indonesian. We prefer to use machine translators to make posts. @fuerza-hispana is a project created to support Spanish users, mainly by means of votes and prizes for quality contents, targeting to foster writing. By supporting quality and original posts, we are making Hive a place for nice posts that are enjoyable and help getting into a routine.
Ideed, writing contents not only lead to better posts but also to having users read other users posts. This helps in showing how wonderful this platform is and leads to a growth in qualty users, projects, posts that deserved to be valued. Therefore, curation is also an important part of the project.
High upvotes make users feel motivated to write more and better content, so we have invested in HP as we could. And it also leads to others users voting on such posts as we report on the posts we are curating on the trails we have: @curaciones-fh, @curaciones-fh2, @curaciones-fh3 . In Fuerza-Hispana’s Discord channel, users share their posts, and we take them into consideration but other posts having @spanish tag are also considered for curation by Fuerza-Hispana’s curators, Hence, @fuerza-hispana tag is not a requirement, but for writing contests. Concerning these contests, we are paying the prizes ourselves, so they are as low as our own Hive resources goes. Having a greater HP could help us increase a little the prizes by including greater votes on participants.
As we grow we try to device ways for content creators to feel rewarded for their efforts so as to let them know they are not passing unnoticed. We want to encourage people and be good support group.

so i want to make the movies & show community as well as the anime community to grow more as i think anyone can write something as everyone watches movies and shows. Also, i think it's quite easy for outsiders to come over to the hive side (see what i did there?), start over with movie posts and interact!
