You know what I am doing at the moment:
I am heavily working on our alpha playable build. It is released today, this evening I hope, to our Testroom.
It's an alpha but for the first time, players will get their hands on our gameplay!
Another thing you know:
HIVE is knowing some great moment these days.
People purchase ability has increased a lot!
I have two big news to release about all this.
EXODE will give HIVE coins to players!
Community events - with rewards - were mentioned in a previous post.
But with HIVE with so much value, let's make that more accurate.
EXODE has specified, very early, that it was interested in using its HIVE for community rewards.
But I think we did not make that clear enough.
Let's share some goodness!
We reserve 50 % of our current HIVE coin storage for direct player rewards.
And to make all that clear and transparent, 50 % of all our HIVE coins are immediately transfered to a new HIVE account, exoderewards. This account will keep these coins stored and redistribute them only in community events. This means all these coins are for players.
This will be a big way to earn more money in EXODE.
Scheduled events are, for instance:
Player races. Players will have to explore planets at given coordinates and find elements that will help them find the next planet to get to. We'll tell aliens to look the other way!
Player simulated battles. This will be tournaments! Where your ships can be played but won't get damaged.
And maybe other things too.
Right now, 4725+ HIVE coins are sent aside for all this, meaning 4338 USD reserved for players.
We haven't decided on how fast it is distributed, but over a few months in rewards looks like a favorable option. We will also increase this amount voluntarily from time to time!
HIVE is strong!
HIVE has gained an immense strength lately.
Previously we had a one third paypal, one third steem, one third HIVE spread in sales. Now it's becoming almost all in HIVE sales!
Previously we announced we were to use this HIVE for community rewards.
Now it's more clear: we make the HIVE ready already.
Previously we wanted the best transparency, and wanted to sit on our HIVE coins as much as possible.
I think all responsible minds will understand what follows.
If people are using the strength of HIVE to purchase EXODE assets (and they should of course!), and we have a "hold" 100% firm policy, and then HIVE value goes away: this would mean that EXODE will actually lose all its funds. We don't want that for the game we have here.
So, it was not responsible to do this way.
Now that HIVE is becoming the main and only purchase asset, we are now sending aside 50 % of it for player distribution, keeping some HIVE too for our blockchain artists, and we will diversify the rest. This way, development goes on and EXODE keeps its funding whatever happens.

Sensible policy and great that you are reserving 50% of your Hive for player rewards.
Lets hope Hive stays at this almost US1$ level or goes much higher, but it is important to be prepared for all eventualities.
