I did it.
Today I earn my last weekly powerup for the month and my monthly powerup from Hivebuzz. I've also published a post every day of this month for the first time since I joined what is now Hive back in 2017 during the old Steemit days.
As a very busy guy who also cares for an ill relative, time for me is something that needs to be managed, so its always been tricky for me to post here on Hive as much as I'd like to.
But after seeing a veteran Hivian earn a yearly badge by stringing together a dozen monthly badges, I wanted to try for a monthly badge of my own.
Its even more difficult as I've also been writing for other platforms outside of Hive due to the meager (but very appreciated) support that I receive here. So I borrowed some time, and gave it a go.
And I did it.
What's Next?
I don't know what I'm going to do after today. I'd hoped that at least one of the posts this month would crack $10 but the closest I got was 5 and change. My 30-day total (not counting today's post) was $40.65 or a $1.35 per post average.
Now I know that some of you will earn more than $40.65 for just one post. But this is what came in and I appreciate every single upvote.
However, since half is split with the curators, my actual earnings for the month were roughly $20.32 for the month or about $0.67 cents per post.
Prior to beginning this quest, I had a fleeting thought of maybe going for a yearly badge, but considering the amount of time invested in each post, it likely won't be doable for me over the rest of the year.
However, I have enjoyed a burst of creativity by getting into a routine of regular daily writing. I picked up a few new followers and was able to engage with the few visitors who left comments on my posts, and was usually able to visit theirs and leave my thoughts as well.
Tomorrow is a new day, and I'm incredibly thankful to each and every one of you who took the time to comment and support my work.

Publishing blogs everyday is a huge achievement ent! I’be tried publishing for straight seven days to get a weekly writer badge, however I always fail to have it. Seeing you able to publish everyday within the month is truly amazing!
Thanks, and while it's not easy, it does give one a sense of accomplishment once completed. I'm told that Ecency has a post scheduling feature even though I've not used it. I wonder if you could "bank" 7 posts by writing them in advance (in notepad as I do), then schedule them for realase once a day for seven days? It might work. :)
Hmmm…that sounds a good method. I’ll try it when I found some time.
That is great! Wish I could put together a string of posts like that. I just don't have the self discipline for it.
Have you trid joining and posting in some communities? It might get you some more followers and exposure.
Thanks. I post through Ecency and on my own blog. I used to dpo more with communities, but many of them that used to be general places of publishing, to more specialized silos. I also rarely saw the level of support for my posts given to the highly upvoted low effort posts of others.
I recommend Silverbloggers and Reflections to start. Those communities are pretty awesome after you post there and socialize a bit. If you get into coin collecting the Silver Gold Stakcers community is pretty good too.
In the end, I just enjoy writing and interacting, so the upvotes and rewards are just icing on the cake.
I hear you. A selection of my posts unlike this one which is a "report" type post, require hours of research and writing in order to put them together. My recent one on near-death experiences is a good example of that. The $5 it earned was nice, but since I only get half of that, it doesn't match up for the time put into it which I could have spent on the the platforms that I write for where the renumeration is more balanced with the effort. Still I do love Hive and while I may not do another all-monther, I plan to keep on posting here because I love the community.
So glad you are being rewarded on other platforms at least. Yeah, this place has grown on me as well.

I wish I wasn't much of a lazy writer, I would have challenged myself to go for it, too. You must have invested a lot of time to achieve this.
