Why Hive tokenomics doesn't work. How to fix this. Post 1.

in #hive4 years ago

Hey Hivers,

The is my first post in a while. I wanted to address this issue before it's too late.

Hive has a wonderful community but the tokenomics don't make sense. This why you constantly see the Hive token price sliding.

For a successful future Hive, we need a high token valuation to succeed.

Closing the loop
To gain high token price there needs to be more buyers than sellers. Currently, this is not the case as Hive is being sold off by bloggers for fiat & other Cryptos on exchanges.

The fix this problem Hive needs a close the loop. In other words give both Hive investors & earners reasons to hold Hive longterm. To do this requires more buying pressure than sell orders.

New Economics
As I've been suggesting since 2016 Hive should be focusing on a ad revenue Hive burning model to offset curation rewards paid out.

price = supply + demand

With strong ad Hive economy this is a step in the right direction creating lower supply.

Also, there's other ways to achieve this outcome but better. The best way imo. Is to distribute the new Hive from ad revenues to HP stakers with an escrow lock for year. HP holders must login & claim weekly or reward gets redistributed back to rewards pool.

This is all for now I'll release my next post on this subject soon.
