RE: DTube censored on Hive Blockchain ?

in #hive5 years ago (edited)

1- DTube does not give a crap about the steem/hive war. We wanted to be neutral. Sadly, we are getting attacked on our own turf by Hive shady whales for no reason now.

2- Downvotes on @lordbutterfly is a gentle way to tell him to stop spreading FUD (calling me a rapist, a killer, making fake screenshots of me talking, etc), because I actually believe he is an idiot and doesn't know what he is getting his ass involved into. I'm actually in the process of escalating this defamation issue into a legal case. I will not talk further about it in the future.

3- There is no SteemIt Inc delegation on Hive, the @dtube stake technically belongs to a company I own in majority, and I could at any point power it down into my personal account and do as I wish. I have chosen to keep it there and actively upvote DTube videos for the benefit of the community, and to re-inforce the fact that DTube wants to be neutral.

Now, instead of moving the subject. Could you tell us your opinion on whether @dtube deserves to be added to a 'spammer' blacklist?

Sort:

No DTube should not be added to a spammer blacklist unless there is a body of evidence that the account is spamming the Hive chain. I personally have not seen evidence of this from my personal limited point of view, but am open to changing my position when presented with data I wasn't previously aware of.

Regarding your point 2.
The purpose of an up or down vote is to help the chain to identify high quality content. Votes should not be used for the purposes of 'punishing' people for off-chain behavior such as spreading FUD. There are more appropriate ways of dealing with that (such as the legal route you are taking) which don't involve the Hive community becoming collateral damage.
