Participating in Blockchain Rio also provided an opportunity to strengthen strategic connections, generate valuable content for future marketing campaigns, and further solidify its relationship with the local Hive community in Brazil.

Reach and recognition: Hive significantly increased its visibility within the Brazilian blockchain ecosystem by participating in one of the most prominent and relevant events in the region. This presence helped consolidate its position as one of the leading blockchains and communities in the web3 sector in LATAM.

Blockchain Rio 2024 is not merely an event but the foremost hub of innovation in blockchain technology and digital finance in Latin America. With over 300 speakers, including global leaders such as Charles Hoskinson (CEO of Input Output), Sergey Nazarov (Co-founder of Chainlink), and Roberto Campos Neto (President of the Central Bank of Brazil), the event provided an ideal space for Hive to connect with the most important players in the industry.

Opportunities for learning and networking:

The event’s program included networking sessions, business generation, and collaborative learning, allowing Hive to interact directly with companies, developers, influencers, and other communities, fostering collaborations that could bring value to the Hive ecosystem.

Content generation for marketing:

Valuable content: During the event, videos and photographs were captured, which will be utilized in future digital marketing campaigns. This content will not only help maintain engagement with the Hive community in the region but also be essential in attracting new users and investors from the region.

At Blockchain Rio 2024, Hive not only onboarded new accounts but also demonstrated how HBD (Hive-backed Dollar) works and presented the Distrator project. In total, 18 new accounts were onboarded, and they received a complete introduction to the Hive blockchain.

  • Ines Maciel, PhD: XR and metaverse researcher at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
  • TeaFi: In talks to bring their DeFi operation to Hive.
  • Courtnay Guimaraes: Former Lead Program Manager, implementing an RDS project for Basel II needs at an international bank with operations in Brazil.
  • Rocelo Lopes: CEO of Smart Pay Services in Brazil.
  • Vasyl Kyryliuk: Head of Business Development at Gateway_eth.
  • Diego from INTMAX: Discussions about the Stateless zkRollup Protocol.
  • Alexandre Ferreira (Gnosis Pay): Potential integrations with Gnosis Pay’s payment solutions.

Between 65% and 70% of Hive's budget for Blockchain Rio 2024 was allocated to sponsorship expenses. This investment was crucial to ensuring high visibility and a prominent presence at the event, which helped promote the Hive brand and connect with key players in the sector.

Exclusive branding for the event:

To maximize Hive’s impact at Blockchain Rio 2024, we developed exclusive branding that reflected both Hive’s identity and Brazil’s vibrant tech culture. This branding included a set of visual and graphic materials specially designed for the event, used in stands, presentations, and marketing materials.

The goal was to create a cohesive and attractive visual presence that highlighted Hive as an innovative blockchain in sync with the region’s culture.

Social media strategy and advertising:

During the event, Hive's participation was extensively documented and shared on our social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. We used a real-time coverage approach to keep our global community informed about our activities and achievements at Blockchain Rio 2024.

Additionally, a paid advertising strategy was implemented for some key posts. This included promoting content that highlighted our interactions with industry leaders, key moments from the event, and content generated during presentations and networking sessions. These advertising campaigns helped amplify the reach of our posts, increasing Hive’s visibility among new users and potential investors in the region and beyond.
