Agenda:
Dev sync
I suggest you listen to this one
Hivemind + hived open merge request review status
https://gitlab.syncad.com/hive/hive/-/merge_requests/419 is reviewed and merged !
https://gitlab.syncad.com/hive/hivemind/-/merge_requests/539 going to be reviewed later
https://gitlab.syncad.com/hive/hive/-/merge_requests/332 after a rebase, has some tests failing, I'll review that.
Hivemind on HAF status
postponed to next meeting
More dev documentation
(building, running, executing tests) from blocktrades (it's hard to follow when you're not in the company and not everyone is okay digging through CI scripts to figure things out + some things can't be run outside of the CI env, so scripts have to be modified).
@blocktrades agrees and they are going to be working with us.
From @arcange, block size question:
I see more and more discussions about increasing the block size.
Are we stuck with a multiple of 64k or can the size of these be anything?
Would it for example be possible and useful to currently increase the size to 96k?
Would an increase in block size automatically inflate the size of the blockchain faster even with sparsely filled blocks?
The tl;dr is, the blocks aren't really full yet, so this is not that important right
Extra talks
There was some more discussions about the hive lighting bridge and discussions and how to use HAF.
thanks for reading ! If you have any questions feel free to ask them in the comments.
Is there a general development roadmap past this hardfork? Forever it was “and then SMTs”, but now that those seem to be a later 2 solution, what comes next? Will the core team ever work on layer 2 solutions (smart contracts, SMTs, etc?)
Yes, our primary goal after the upcoming HF is development of the smart contract system using HAF. Among other things, this smart contract system will support token creation.

Wonder what have been the latest updates from steempress and oh it's not time to rebrand to hivepress?
It has been rebranded about a year and a half ago to @exxp :) https://exxp.io/ It's just that the @steempress account is our witness and it's a veeeeeery long and risky procedure to get people to switch over.
Ah make sense.
When I upload an image to Hive the image people see is not the same as the one I uploaded. Hive should not compress our images because those images may contain details which are vital to the message being communicated. If the issue is image file size then declare a limit. If I send a message I expect the recipient to receive the message I sent, not a garbled facsimile.
