RE: Not sure if it's the platform or the people

in #hivelast year

The common nature of humans is saying sweet words when the situation is in favor but when the opposite thing happens they start to spread negativity. They highlight what's happening with them but they don't share why it's happening with time. Naturally, nobody wants to accept their own mistakes in front of everyone.

In the case of reward, I always expect less and I think whatever I am getting here is ok and I think there are no other platforms which can give me more than this platform. At least I feel I am not wasting my time here. If I receive more rewards, then it makes me happy but if I get very few then, I need to improve my post quality and I hope in the future it will increase.

Since I joined here, I have known that engagement is the key and it's the thing that helps to stay connected with other authors. Just engaging in our own posts is not enough in my opinion.

In the case of following and unfollowing, I hardly unfollow others thinking that it may demotivate the authors. But I have a list of favorite authors and I visit their posts almost every day.

In the case of upvoting comments, I still don't do this thinking that my little value doesn't create any significant value. That kind of thing was set in my mind from the beginning time. But after reading your post I just realized that my vote value creates a little influence as my vote value increased for the last time. So from now, I decided to upvote in comments also for the encouragement even if the value is little. Thank you for making me realize about it.

If you can't get comments to at least 0.02$ in rewards it's best to just cast small votes like 1% just for visuals and acknowledgement. Because you could use your bigger votes on posts rather and get at least .001 hive in curation rewards that way. That 0.02$ threshold may lead to you just wasting the voting mana and getting nothing in return which may mean you don't grow as fast.

Thank you for enlighten me.🙂.
I understood.
