Not being a citizen of the USA there are two aspects of the current state of the USA that have some personal interest to me.
The first is President Trump's obsession with making Canada the 51st state. As a Canadian citizen, my feeling is that he is welcome to it after the abysmal treatment by the majority of my fellow citizens toward me, during the pandemic period, due to my non-compliance with the experimental medical treatment. That chilling treatment led me to sell my ETH holdings and purchase a 36' ocean going sail boat last July. The late summer and fall were spent sailing it down from Toronto to Halifax, Nova Scotia; arriving here at the beginning of November. My property of 38 years was sold in mid-November. The tentative plan is to sail away with her after the the end of the hurricane season this fall and never look back.
The second point of interest is President Trump's adoption of Bitcoin. Prior to his election the plan was to sail to El Salvador, where Bitcoin had been made legal tender, via Bermuda. The tentative plan, now, is to sail down the east coast of the USA entering the inland waterway at Norfolk then on to Florida; taking a lot of danger out of hurricane season.
What do you personally think about what is happening in the United States right now?
Change, the like of which has not been seen in generations.
Politically, I think Trump was just smart enough to not repeat the mistakes of his first administration. I still don't trust him, but I willing to give his cabinet the benefit of a doubt. I made a video about my thoughts on this, posted to 3Speak under my oldsoulnewb account.
Culturally, I think we're basically the same as we've been since the television became ubiquitous.
Financially, I think we're still headed towards a real global reckoning with our systems of currency.

I think people are enjoying a Saturday night with family and friends because that's what it's all about!
