Once more I am at a loss. Is my Hive wallet here, in the Hive blockchain not good enough?
I only access the Hive blockchain from my PC here at home, occasionally checking in from my phone, but I NEVER do anything with financial info from my phone.
Please advise

Your account is always on the blockchain, it's a part of the blockchain. What a hardware wallet like Ledger does is it allows you to store your private keys in a hardware device separate from your computer/phone, for a greater level of security. This is for people who want an additional, extra level of security, typically because they hold a lot of funds in their account.
The hardware wallet prevents your private keys from ever going out of the hardware device (the keys don't reach your computer or phone at all), so it reduces the risk of you potentially entering your private keys in some place that is not safe, or you getting a virus that manages to get access to your private keys.
I saw a picture of what appeared to be a flash drive, something you would carry in your pocket or on a keychain. Doesn't seem very secure to me.
So I currently have a Bitcoin Wallet, a BCH wallet, I signed up for MetaMask, but didn't like what I began to hear so I've stopped using it for anything. Not sure where that stands atm
Wallets wallets everywhere, and not a bitcoin to spend. 😎
But I thank you for your reply.
