Is it okay to cross post on Steemit and Hive right now? I have a lot of things to move off of Steemit. I hope to save a copy of everything so I’ll always have access to it. I also would like to post some of my new content to Steemit temporarily while I make the change. Is this acceptable on here for now?

I don’t think anyone minds, why not milk the old chain a bit and put it into the new chain. If you feel guilty about anything you can give away some hive to smaller and newer users.
Thank you! I agree, I like that idea.
No one can stop you from posting to both chains. (Edit: Unless Justin's keen to censor your content!)
I think Justin should leave me alone unless he hates hiking and art posts lol
I've been wondering the same thing. I'm not sure how not to...The only instructions I found were on Twitter and they said go to hive.blog and put in your username and posting key from steemit. Can't see my wallet either or anyone else's for that matter. Might not have functionality on that yet though
they are still working on the wallet. but if you try https://peakd.com/ you will see that it is all ok.
Ok, thanks!
It might take some time. I hope there is a way to do it automatically all these social networks are making it hard to keep up sometimes
well every post that was on steem it is now on hive. only problem is maybe what will steemit do with hosting site where they stored images. but i don't think they will just shut it down.
I hope not! I wish there was a way to scrape all the posts I’ve written into some nice files. But it looks like I’ll have to do it manually over the long term. So I’m really hoping Justin doesn’t try and make it difficult for us to access old posts
someone was mentioning an "app" do download all your posts. but it was 2 weeks ago. if i find it i will past it to you.
you should check this out. think it would help you. i did not use it, but try and see

Go for it. It's a great way to earn some steem. We all still have stake there. Sell it off and buy hive. Keeps the price high on the markets and we all grow faster.
Great idea.... we all have 13 weeks to try and keep Steem afloat.... price wise anyways.
All of your posts should be accessible through Hive. My biggest concern is the image hosting that Steemit provided. Since nearly the start I have used Flickr to host and then just post the links. Takes a bit more work but now I see it was worth it.
